cigarbigboy Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Romeo y Julieta short. We first bought a Fuente, than snuck in a Cuban. Best cigar bar I've ever been to. Who's been here? 1
shlomo Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Been there. Not my favorite. Sitting under an escalator in a mall .... meh. Prefer smoking at the slots or tables. 1
MrGinger Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 I have been there a few times. When I am in Vegas, there are a number of other places I would rather smoke at.
xtcat9k Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Love it there. Excellent mojitos and a friendly staff. They remodeled last year, so outside seating is better.
bman75 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 For being the "Entertainment Capital of the Word," I was profoundly disappointed with the cigar scene in Las Vegas. I didn't have an opportunity to visit Casa Fuente as they were remodeling at the time, but I have heard mixed reviews. However, there are few other lounge options. Not many good B&M's either.
srbbones Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Not so sure I agree with you. OK to visit, but I don't like the vibe that they are doing you a favor by selling you a $40 Opus X. 2

There are some good shops, just not on the strip. I do like the davidoff shop in MGM and the fact that I can smoke at the sport book.
riazp Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Loved the Casa Fuente Lancero, but over priced.
Habano Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 The Series 5's are well worth picking up by the boxes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
eswary Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Casa Fuente corona gorda is one of the best cigars on Earth for me. As far as the shop itself, I have only been once. It was before the recent renovation. I would consider myself a lover of all things Opus, so I didn't flinch at the prices since I was vacationing in Vegas. But that being said, the prices on the HTF items like BBMF's and such may give the normal smoker a heart attack. But when in Vegas, who's there to save money anyways? Magpie Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Always visit Casa Fuente and Davidoff at the Venetian to buy a few sticks whilst in Vegas. Not cheap but what the heck that's Vegas. Never stayed at Casa for a drink but when I'm there in June I'll be having a Mojito. We stayed at Aria last time, super cigar friendly place. Also went to Andre's at Monte Carlo, kinda cool, leather chairs and a good range of whisky.
LLC Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Been there many many times but I prefer the Rum Bar if the weather is nice.
Redsoxnat Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Went there in 11 while a friend and myself were attending the CA Big Smoke. Not a bad place to sit with a cocktail and a cigar. They charge a fair penny for Fuente but at least for a non CC they are decent. I agree though, time spent at a poker table or I believe there are a few steak houses that allow cigars is more to my taste. Romeo y Julieta short. We first bought a Fuente, than snuck in a Cuban. Best cigar bar I've ever been to. Who's been here?
Redsoxnat Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Good call. I forgot about the rum bar. Great place to have a cigar on the patio if it's a decent day or night. Been there many many times but I prefer the Rum Bar if the weather is nice.
shortsqueeze Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Hard to beat strolling the casino floor with an Upmann No. 2 and a "Bellagio Cocktail," or a Siglo IV at Petrossian Bar with a martini (with blue cheese stuffed olives). Perhaps you can't smoke at PB anymore, but my point is on the right night, the vibe is perfect for a cigar almost anywhere, so who needs a defined lounge to have a great cigar experience. 1
Shrody234 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Been there and always stop in when in Vegas, great place, but I definitely prefer the outdoor RhumBar. The Old Cuban there is ahhhhhh-mazing.
cigarbigboy Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 great staff, mojitos, and selections of rum. And every Fuente cigar imaginable.
madandana Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Was just there. Great Mojitos. No problem brown bagging so I was unaffected by the price of sticks. Agreed that the mall atmosphere is not preferred but the people watching is good.
Corylax18 Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I went a couple times before the renovations. As others have said though, you can smoke just about anywhere. I much prefer to wander the casinos/bars/strip while smoking than be restricted to just any bar/store store. If I am going to lock myself in to one spot I would choose The Foundation Room at Mandalay Bay. It's got everything you need, sticks to buy, great food, Amazing Music and Booze. Oh and THE VIEW. Has anyone been to the new(relatively) Davidoff store in MGM? I don't usually venture to that part of the strip, but I plan to at least give it a look when I'm there in March.

cigcars Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 I've never been but I did order two Casa Fuente cigars - at $32 apiece for 2 lonsdale size smokes! Ge-e-e-e-z!!! Only smoked one, and have the other in one of my desktops. Not bad, not too bad...*
Lotusguy Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Been several times and like the Mojitos. However, I prefer the Rhum Bar at Mirage (they also have a small indoor section, btw).
Corylax18 Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 I was not aware of The Foundation room. It looks good, can you bring your own cigars Up until a couple years ago it was Invite Only/Membership required. I've always smoked out on the patio, to enjoy the view pictured. I originally went with a member and never had anybody hassle me about bringing my own sticks. Typical of the rest of Vegas, a lot of people are walking around smoking cigarettes, Cigars, etc. It would be almost impossible for them to require you to buy from them. I would recommend going earlier rather than later, as the "DJs" can get a little intense late at night. Also be warned, its pricey, even by Vegas standards. ($10 for a beer, up to $26 for a specialty drink)

I don't usually venture to that part of the strip, but I plan to at least give it a look when I'm there in March. The "new" store is now basically a kiosk in the middle of the gambling area. Relatively smaller selection of sticks than in the past
