danny Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Hmm.. Must check out The Foundation Room. Never knew about that. As for Casa Fuente, I always enjoyed taking a look at the selection but not the prices or periodically some of the staff (mainly upper management... Actually, just 1-2 specific guys) The Casa Fuente Lancero has always been a favorite so I try to stock up if/when I can but the past few times they "had none left" when you could clearly see bundles upon bundles in a locked cabinet below..... I guess I wasn't important enough since one staff member told me a customer came in and bought an entire bundle earlier in the day... Either way, I always make it a point to check it out every trip and usually walk away with something or another.
smokeyjoe01 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I walked past it on my visit to Vegas last March. Had a cigar outside the Mob Museum, much cooler Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
stunod Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 Love it. Its my favorite place to have a cigar and a libation in Las Veags.
cigarbigboy Posted January 27, 2016 Author Posted January 27, 2016 Prices are exorbitant for cigars. But whatever you want in Fuente line is available. Just interesting to sit in a place with a world wide reputation!
SonGoku Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Was there back in '09. Don't drink so never tried their mojitos that many mention trying while there. Prices a on the high side but as I've heard the cigar taxes in Nevada are quite high. Combine that with Vegas then the prices don't surprise me. Picked up quite a few Don Carlos Lanceros that are smoking exceptionally well these days. Enjoyed quite a few Casa Fuente Corona Gordas. Been regretting not bringing back a box of them as I remember liking them a lot. Too bad though as I don't think they are available outside the Fuente shop. And most likely I'm not going back to Vegas any time soon as gambling are not among my interests. Would rather spend my vacations in a more relaxed environment with not so many people around as there are in Vegas. To ech his own The staff seemed very friendly as I remember but as been pointed out by others the surroundings under an escalator in a mall is not the most interesting place to enjoy a smoke.
spicycorona Posted January 28, 2016 Posted January 28, 2016 Hard to beat strolling the casino floor with an Upmann No. 2 and a "Bellagio Cocktail," or a Siglo IV at Petrossian Bar with a martini (with blue cheese stuffed olives). Perhaps you can't smoke at PB anymore, but my point is on the right night, the vibe is perfect for a cigar almost anywhere, so who needs a defined lounge to have a great cigar experience. That's a shame that bar is a real cool spot. I guess they don't want the lobby smelling like smoke though. Bellagio definitely pumps in their own smell. CF was a let down but the bar and the mojitos were good. A far superior cigar bar is in Old San Juan PR. Forget the name. What CF should be.
Corylax18 Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 This just In: http://www.cigaraficionado.com/webfeatures/show/id/montecristo-cigar-bar-coming-to-vegas-18580 Looks like the same guy that owns "Casa Fuente by the Escalator" is ponying up the coin to open a new Montecristo lounge a drunken stumble away from the current spot. Bad business decision or maybe a transition plan? I will be staying at the Monte Carlo April 6th to the 9th, the new Montecristo Lounge is schedule to be open by then, so will try to grab some photos.
Scdalak Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Been several times and like the Mojitos. However, I prefer the Rhum Bar at Mirage (they also have a small indoor section, btw). Amen to that, Rhumbar is the best place to enjoy a stick and a mojito... Waitresses dont suck either..
PigFish Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Here is an oldie... Piggy and friends! (Both FoH members)
zeedubbya Posted February 3, 2016 Posted February 3, 2016 Cool place, but expensive. The Casa Fuente is a stick everyone should try if you have a chance. My second favorite Fuente ever closely behind the Anejo Shark.

danny Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 I'm headed there at the beginning of next week. REALLY hoping that there will be some Lanceros for sale, FINALLY.....
zjory Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 Be back in Vegas soon. Might have to finally make it here.
Corylax18 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 More info on the new Montecristo bar/lounge; http://www.cigaraficionado.com/webfeatures/show/id/more-details-on-new-las-vegas-montecristo-cigar-bar-18652 Its looking pretty damn fancy. I didnt realize that Frey was part owner in Rhumbar as well as the current Casa Fuente. This new location is about a 5 min walk from Casa Fuente, so it will be interesting to see how this shakes out. I will be in town exactly one month from today, if they've opened I'll make sure to get some photos. 1
dshapiro Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Montecristo lounge at Caesars palace opens March 18th. Anyone in town wanna meet up?

Orion21 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I'll be there this weekend for the start of the tournament. PM me as I am staying at the Venetian and will have some free time!
TheGipper Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Interesting, the Montecristo Lounge is going in the old Hyakumi Japanese restaurant spot. Not too far off the casino floor. Definitely a more convenient location than Casa Fuente.
danny Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I always go there to pick up some Casa Fuente Lanceros. Absolute love them. Struck out 2-3 trips before finally scoring.
