Hello all....Another newbie here. I am still an amateur cigar smoker despite having been smoking off and on for about 12 years.

I smoked my very first cigar, an Excalibur 1066, in Ybor City while I was at school at USF. Little did I know how important Ybor City was to cigars....

I later joined the Air Force and spent about 4.5 years in Germany. While there I took up cigar smoking again as I loved spending my free time ( while not in the pubs and biergartens) in the city squares in Trier reading and smoking. I did have much of an idea what I was smoking, but I cut my teeth on Partagas Seire D and Ps, Montecristo #2s, and a few others.

I'm back in the US now and lamenting that I can't get those smokes at the corner tobacconist but still love a good smoke. Recently I had an Opus X and and am in love with that stick.

Anyway, I hope to learn more about my renewed hobby and not embarrass myself too badly...

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone. ...It looks like my friend was right and this is a good place to hang my hat at the end of the day.
