El Presidente Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Our good friend Mark Murace passed away Sunday morning from a rock climbing accident. Mark (BowTie on FOH) was a great friend to many of us here. His love of life was infectious. His gentle heart and generosity legendary. He was a regular on the Czar deck and his arrival (wearing his Bow Tie) would light up all around him. He was a father to two gorgeous daughters, husband and best friend to wife Helen, brother to us here. We are honoured to have known you Mark. We will catch up again. Mark was 50 years of age. We will arrange a suitable celebration of Marks life in due course. God bless my friend.

Only knew Mark for a short time but he always made the effort to pop his head into my office whenever he was at Czars and ask me how I was going. One of the most genuine guys around. Popular Post Warren Posted January 18, 2016 Popular Post Posted January 18, 2016 I can't believe this. I don't mind telling you that I am crying as I type this. I met Mark years ago when Czars was at the old place. I was sitting with Smithy after doing one of our watch videos and in walks Mark with his bow tie and a warm handshake. I remember him saying he recognized me from some of the cigar videos and genuinely treating me like some kind of minor celebrity which was funny. As others have been saying, Mark was always genuinely interested in what you were doing and this softly spoken man with his gentle ways and quirky dress sense quickly became a much loved member of the Friday deck. I cherish my times on the deck with all the great people I have met. The friends I have made through this fine group of people have kept me sane when times were tough. Mark was one of those people and he will forever hold a fond place in my heart. It seems almost customary at times like this to say things like well he died doing something he loved. I never even knew Mark was a rock climber. What I knew he loved was sharing cigars, good wine, and friendship and laughter. Mark should have gone at a far more advanced age while sitting with friends. A cigar in one hand and a wine in the other while wearing one of his many bow ties and fancy smoking jackets. Rest in piece my friend. It seems I loved you more than I imagined. 14
