TomF Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I began noticing that I was getting an extremely salty flavor from cigars that I was taking from the top shelf of my humidor. I began to wonder if salt dust was falling out of the container of Heartfelt beads that was attached face down to the lid of my humidor when I closed the lid and was getting into the cigars, so I cleaned all the dust off the shelves and took the beads off the lid and put the container face up on the shelf with the cigars. It seems to have worked. I see no more salt dust on the shelf and have had no more overly salty cigars. I can't believe that I'm the only one to notice this issue and have not found anything posted about it. Has anyone else had this problem with Heartfelt beads?
HarveyBoulevard Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 My beads are in tubes on the bottom and shelves of my humidor. If they were on the lid I'd imagine I would have had the same issue given what has fallen out of the tubes.
PigFish Posted January 27, 2016 Posted January 27, 2016 None of this really makes any sense to me but I cannot tell anyone else what they taste. If I had to take you at your word, and you taste the dust and say it is salt, I would have to ask you if you condition your beads with soft water? I see that as the only logical answer! Cheers! -Piggy
