So today while passing through an Airport Duty Free I came across an interesting decision to make:

Two boxes of 10s, Wide Churchills from Jun 15, and Short Churchills from Oct 12. I checked both physically, seem good with a reddish hue and no mold etc i.e. good boxes.I am nowhere near experienced to classify HQ/PSP/**** like the good people on here but they looked good to me.

From what I have heard, Wide Churchills are some of the best from the 2015 vintage, and Short Churchills dont have the best reputation about them (Hit or Miss) but this box has a slight advantage in price, and a good number of years of rest on it for the same price of a new production.

Made me think, what would you all buy, and why if given the choice to buy only 1 of the 2 choices presented.

Thought it would make a good discussion topic for Noobs like me to learn how to buy in B&Ms.

I am a noob as well, but I would go with the box with more age on it, course everyone raves about the Short Churchils, so idk.....hopefully the veterans can help you more.

I would also go with the aged. I think my decision is based more on the fact that I don't have any aged cigars.... curious what other members have to sat.

That was my reasoning for going with the short Churchill. It is now the oldest box I have.

Personally I wouldn't purchase either. Too many horror stories about Duty Free Airport shops to know better unsure.png
