I was watching The Martian last week - Star Man was used in one of the scenes, and it reminded me of how great he and his music was / is. How much I enjoy his duet with Bing Crosby. How I used to listen to Ziggy Stardust while getting ready for school. Turning Panic In Detroit up to eleven.....

I too woke up this morning n felt like I was kicked in the gut when I heard of his passing. I loved how he kept re-inventing himself. Just heard n saw the Lazarus song n video n found it very eerie! It was a foreshadowing of what was coming sadly. The man lived n died on his own terms! Thanks for all the great music n other artists you produced. RIP David Bowie aka David Jones.

As others here have said, very sad and a shock. We are losing our icons in at an alarming rate. The talent today is not quite on par with the likes of brother Bowie. RIP

Five years in the making of an Icon is on again tonight, never tire of the seeing it.

There are so many, wow moments.

My wife and i grew up in the 70's and 80's so we were into and then out of Bowie as he moved from 70's glam to RnB and then back in the fold because I like 'Earthling', probably the only one.

Nile Rodgers is a very cool guy.

I heard somebody today say that we all moved up one rung in the cool ladder because Bowie has left the planet. And he was the coolest man alive.
