Are these offered in 25's? I have only seen cabs of 50. Not necessarily a function of cost so much as having room!

As much as I would love to see PLPC back in dress box and 25 cabs I'm not about to complain about only a 50 cab format as long as HSA keeps the PLPC quality as high as they have been for many years now.

One of the few cigars that never really disappoints. Exceptional consistency for a decade. If keeping that up means only 50 cabs I'll take it.

I find the 50 cab to be the perfect size. I like them fresh & they get even better after a few years of aging when they display a sweet caramel taste. I say smoke the first 25 fresh & age the rest.

Why on earth did the 25 count PLPCs get discontinued when every other marca has seen their 50 counts chopped?

I learned long ago to stop asking why HSA does anything.

I can't see any justification for it whatsoever unless they're are attempting to put a lid on sales to preserve quality (which has never bothered HSA before.) 50 cabs are generally a connoisseur's format and don't appeal to the casual smoker, hence HSA's decade-long trend toward eliminating them in general.

However, if I had a high-quality product like the PLPC I'd want to get it into as many hands as possible. 10s/25s/3-5 packs, etc. Just limit total production in all packaging formats if raw materials are an issue.

Basically, there is no reason for HSA to do it. You'll go insane trying to make sense of almost anything they do. Poor marketing leading to poor sales is the cigar's fault and they'll cut it. That's how they think. Look at San Cristobal. Leaving the brand to flap in the wind and as it moves ever closer to the chopping block every day.
