38c you can keep....far too hot for me. I'll stick with 6c and put the heater on in the smoking den.

Cold here in Ontario Canada, but no matter... we have a great place to smoke! It's toasty warm. I don't know why Dave and Chris have their jackets on. I'm in shorts and a t-shirt! Cheers, Dave

Very nice indeed! I'd trade in my Minnesota winter for that any day

Speaking of dropping a beer, I had a 5 gallon glass carboy of pilsner in the lagering fridge one time and went to grab a bottle of brew off the shelf to the side.

Dropped the little bottle on the big bottle and of course it shattered resulting in a flood of beer out the fridge and across the floor. Needless to day, quite the mess.

My wife dragged me to Vancouver of all places for a little vacation. Rain, cold, and absolutely zero places to smoke indoors. Never again.

I so hate you guys right now. I went home for the holiday and sat and smoked everything I brought by the end of the second night. Drove home today in this crap. Not that I mind it. The main problem is all the people from out of state who were crowding the road headed west causing accidents as they drive 30mph, feel the need to brake or pull into another lane as a faster car comes up to pass. Or simply just take up both lanes by driving down the middle. I grew up driving a rear wheel drive car and drove in this and worse every day. I so need to go decompress after a couple people caused me to white knuckle the steering wheel a few times.

Well its not too shabby in this part of the northern hemisphere. Spent a few days rolling a pitch into the soccer oval. 8t roller and job done. Had a Boxing Day indoor game on the oval. Some good fun! Probably going to be a **** load of soccer injuries with the compacted patch but whatever. tongue.png

Ugh, wife and I left Sacramento yesterday and our high 40 f daytime highs to visit her family in San Diego. Brought a full array of sticks to burn only to discover it is just as cold here dammit!

Clive

From chilling, cleaning then to the dog house- sounds like a Seinfeld episode!!

It sounds like you need an external fridge, preferably within arms reach from the pool

Ahh it is the silly season after all

Was 21 degrees C here in the D.C. area today and even warmer on Christmas eve and Christmas day.

Very strange for the end of December as it is supposed to be winter here, and winter has not arrived yet

It was a hard Sunday afternoon at work. Needed to end the day at the bar!

Its quite easy to photoshop out the ball that was left behind on the tee !!nyah.gif

Jokes aside, have you engaged the services of Tiger Woods for a little training ?

Love the apparel - ready for any emergency!

The full PPE is because the course is in the bush and plenty of snakes in the bush... and mosquitoes... and monkeys... and drunks... lots of drunks.

And i don't take golf lessons from amateurs :P

Actually, you're not looking bad, Mus! This is me on the practice range at Ala Wai Driving Range in Waikiki last year in December.

For blokes who I expect don't play much - they are some respectable golf swings!

Mus, you've got some Jack Nicklaus going on with the left foot in the backswing.... Just try not move off the ball so much!!

Why would anyone want a sunny 38° by the pool, when they could be huddled up like me outside the back door of a pub in the seemingly endless pissing rain and driving wind of a British winter?

The Pub...a pint of Pompey Royal at the Foresters Arms in Purbrook

The only thing I miss from home

I really need to move. I tell my wife we need to move somewhere warmer on a weekly basis. It is a wonderful liar.gif 19F (-7C) out right now, and it isn't even that cold for here yet.

If you kink your right knee in a little at address and try and hold it there, keeping it flexed all the way to the top of your backswing you will see a massive improvement in your ball striking consistency as it will help keep your height and keep you more over the ball through impact and your weight on the instep of your right foot. Makes it much easier to drive through the ball.

The majority of amateurs who struggle for distance and control do so because the right knee does not stay in position to the top of the backswing, as soon as it moves out to a position over the outside of the right foot all resistance is lost in the bottom half and you're then just swinging with the arms.

Just don't do this......

Smoked the Splendido and it was splendid

Just about to light up a Sig 2 and I need another beer

Coopers Sparkling from the back of the fridge, nice and cold and....

I dropped it ! You will be amazed what happened next...

The bottle of beer explodes when it hits the floor, a million pieces of shard glass..all over the kitchen....

And 375mls of beer turns into 2 gallons and most of it goes behind the fridge !

So I had to pull out the fridge and I found my car keys that I lost years ago and a couple of spiders etc etc and a bunch of scary monsters....

An hour later and I finally get to drink the beer. A fresh one that had plenty of time to cool while I was mopping up the gallons from the bottle I dropped and the spiders...

The Missus is not impressed, the kitchen smells like a doctors surgery, I could only find dettol under the sink

Yo f@@king ho

Another 12 cm of snow to shovel this morning and the wind makes it feel like -11°C. The mushy snow made the drive up the interstate to work interesting. The MINI handles it fairly well, right until it doesn't. Then the sensation of floating on the ragged edge of control tests the sphincter muscles. Time to switch over to the Pirelli snows.
