Hey guys and gals, I'm fairly new to the cigar world (about 2 years) and only recently have I started buying boxes of cigars. What with the holidays here I bought a large purchase of cigar boxes online and today when I got them I found some intresting things that I wanted your opinion on guys. First the padron 1964 exclusivo and padron palmas both had the DO Not remove tag that padron puts on the box removed. Also the padron 1964 as well as a family resrve box I bought both did not have a country seal on them (you know that tag that nearly all boxes have on them somewhere on the box). Secondly I also bought a davidoff millennium toro box that when I opened the cigars seemed lighter than one davidoff millennium cigar I smoked a couple of months ago, I remembered being darker in color. If any of you can chime in on this and assure me a little it would be helpful I don't want to reserve some counterfeit stuff of something, I paid a pretty penny for them.

PS I'll post some pictures for you guys

I honestly would contact the vendor. I have heard recently that Padrons are becoming more and more counterfeit.....not sure about Davidoffs.

Good luck

Hahahahaha, i thought you meant the ebola infested country of Liberia. If anyones coming to this end of the world then let me know, i;ll meet up with you for a herf !!!

As for cigars, i imagine in both places (liberia the country and Liberia the city in CR) the cigar business would be the same...... just don't go anywhere near it.

Look mate... I don't want to rain on your parade here but this is a Cuban cigar forum.

No... I am not chasing you off... PLEASE READ ON.

Contact our host. His name is Rob. You can tell him Piggy sent you, unless you are a wanker, then tell him Ken sent you...!

Talk to the "man" about buying some real cigars and open your horizons here a bit. Buy some cigars from him and welcome yourself into the world of 'real' cigars!

Put these pictures in your scrap book, and since you have a reason to send these cigars "above" back, DO IT NOW!

Sorry no one has set you straight about cigars till now, but rest assured you are now on the right track! You can come back and thank me anytime!

From my experience if you're worried about authenticity of the cigars you purchased you always will. Return them while you can and place an order from a different vendor.

Or follow piggies advise and order some from Rob. You'll be happier in the long run.

Contacting Rob and buying Cubans is right, but sample cigars from other countries too. Those Exclusivos are my favorite Padrons, and a fantastic smoke.

Yeah I agree with pretty much all of the above, get them back from whence they came and drop Rob an email for some good general advice to start with. Those Padron boxes look a mess to me,not something I'd expect them to be sending out.But I'm far from expert.
