So, I had decided to just take care of myself and drop this whole idea, but I have rec'd so many PM's from you guys either expressing interest or just saying thanks for trying to do something positive that I got a renewed sense of brotherhood. Thus, I will see this through to some kind of result.

Now, I want to clarify what I mean by negotiating a good deal since apparently forum etiquette dictates that you include all of the fine print up front. To me, an example of a "good deal" is the deal that "Lotusguy" mentioned in his post. A "good deal" is not paying the huge markups that I'm sure you've seen other places. I do not wish to pay those gouging prices, so if I can get pretty close to original price then I'll be happy.

To all of you guys who have pm'd me, I have you in my count, and I will be communicating with a person that I know to see what he can do for us. Once I have more info, I will pm each one of you back.

To Rob and team, you guys know me and know that I hold you all in the highest regard, so if you guys feel that my activity here is in any way poor form, please let me know. If so, I will stop posting about this immediately. My relationship that I have built with you guys is the most important thing period.

If not can someone provide a link to a review anywhere? I can't find anything on them.

I know they're new but just wondering if all the hype is solely based on the rep of the Selectos Finos.

I had one yesterday and liked it a lot .... As a FYI I don't care for the Finos

I think they are box worthy if found for a decent price, pricing is 375 euro across Italy but shipping comes into play

It was not as harsh as I thought the Finos was on release, these were boxed in Sep but who knows when rolled....I liked the size better and thought it had nice flavor for such a young cigar, last third was strong....I smoked this with an open mind not letting the expectations play a role as sometimes that happens, this shows potential but I need to smoke some more.....hope this makes sense

To answer this I think a bit of back ground is needed....back in 2012 the 2011 Selectos Finos was released late and I split a boat load of boxes with others. The first I smoked was at a herf around easter I think. It was strong, very strong and I really didnt like it. Six months later it was better, six months after that even better...now, bloody lovely. Thankfully I managed to get the last box around xmas time 2012 from a shop in Turin before they disappeared completely.

Fast forward to now, the shorter fatter Don Jose. The box aroma is of a powerful cigar. First third is a quite tame affair, then it gets strong but the over-riding thought throughout is a "closed" taste. Theres glimpses of a great cigar but theres a cloying bitterness on the tongue. I couldn't say on this showing it's a fantastic cigar now because it clearly isn't.

So if the past is any indication of the future, this will turn into a fantastic smoke.....just keep your mitts off them
