Aberfeldy 18yo any good?

Anyone here tried 18yo Aberfeldy?

I'm told its a travel retail exclusive and in my experience TRE's aren't usually that good.

The missus is a massive Aberfeldy fan so was wondering if a bottle was worth hunting down on my next trip OS

unfortunately no, working my way through the 12yo though.

but if your missus is a fan, then I'm sure you'll score big on the brownie points for delivering an 18yo home (whisky that is).

I thought the 12, 18, and 21 were their standard range at the moment.

Glad you asked. I have a bottle of Aberfeldy 18 in the cellar. I'm pretty sure it's a standard bottling and not a travel exclusive. It's pretty reasonably priced for an 18 yo whisky. I'd give it a go.

Haven't opened it yet....and just realized its Aberlour 18. My bad.

Huge fan of the aberfeldy 12, in fact its my favourite single malt.

Keen to follow this thread as i would like to try the 18 also so would love to hear thoughts
