El Presidente Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Don't get excited. I haven't seen one I only raise it because it was to be my 50th birthday present to myself. The Butifarra cigar is a "Flying Pig" 55 x 127. All my requests for information on the release (suppose to be 2014) has led to the sounds of crickets chirping. if anyone has any update on this humidor, please post here. if you have a picture or two....it would be most appreciated. I live in hope
danny Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Would this be the cigar? Looks awesome. Still looking for what the humidor looks like though. Found one photo linked to the vitola but can't see the contents to be certain.
El Presidente Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 That looks like it. One day i might see the full humidor

ATGroom Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Singles of the cigars have been doing the rounds for a while now, although it's unclear how legit these are. No sign of the humi. With the Upmann Reserva emerging and the German RE looking like it's close, this is the last outstanding 2014 cigar (although the 2014 book humidor has yet to be announced ).
in0gravity Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 The Cigar is actually the Butifarras No. 2 which is a 170 x 55 "Flying Pig". regards Lars
monkey66 Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I smoked one with Jimmy in Singapore in 2013 so probably not a 2014 release (assuming his were 'release'). Great smoke from memory.
Ryan Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 The Cigar is actually the Butifarras No. 2 which is a 170 x 55 "Flying Pig". regards Lars This is what I have also heard. Actually I've seen the size written on a Habanos release document somewhere.
Nino Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Rob, that Butifarra in a liquor store ( and the hand holding it ) looks familiar, although it has by now sadly gone up in most pleasant smoke. See : http://flyingcigar.de/travel-cigars/201111-havana-first-days-and-pre-tasting-panel/ It is indeed a Flying Pig. Two weeks ago in Havana I saw longer rolled and banded Butifarras ( Salomones-like size ) and should have some pictures of them somewhere in my files, so they are being produced. Release ? Mañana or most likely after-mañana ... :-) 1
