A few hours of coffee and chat over some very good cigars. Picked up a few RA 898 Alemania boxes too. Here's my verdict : The cigar is incredibly good, still fresh and needs rest - yes. But a grea

Thanks for the reminder ! We went and had us some more of those overrated sticks today. And they sure will sleep in our collections :-)

An estimated 68% more hype than the Bushidos - well done! smartass.gif

I freely admit fuelling the hype - it's fun. spotlight.gif

They arrived today at one of the LCDH's. I heard they got 10 boxes and were sold within 30 minutes.

This 2400 2000 boxes release was unexpected.

I would like to have one but I simply refuse to be like a teenager trying to buy a ticket for a New Kids on the Block concert. pod.gif

How many lcdh are in germany? Why would they only get 10 boxes? You would think each would get around 100 boxes

It's the first delivery! I assume that not all 2000 boxes are in Germany yet. Plus the Habanos specialist and Habanos Point shops are also being delivered with this cigar. It's not the LCDH's alone.

There are many famous tobacconists in Germany that are not LCDH because they sell a lot of NC and Dutch cigars, they have probably much more customers than the LCDHs…

Absolutely correct. I forgot to mention them as well.

Thanks

Currently there are 10 casas here in germany.

A friend in Germany was told these will all be either reserved or sold out by weeks end. I guess the hype has been a successful driving factor in these selling. But then again who knows if this information is true.

There will be 400 extra, un-numbered boxes made special for those involved in the production. Rollers, factory managers, distributors, etc. wink.pngtongue.png

More like 9 billion more dressed as Partagas 898. RAE14/15 right?

Same as Escepcions, good thing they put those nasty SDC#2 in jars. No worries though, my one post won't affect anyone's investment income.

Well, they've got to roll them somewhere and boxes/bands do make the cigar.....don't they?

Posted

Why not roll it at Partagas factory? Natural choice for Ramon Allones, right?

There were epic La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or no.2 (898 format) rolled at Partagas factory in 2013 - the same format as RA 898

or wait..... they did such an atrocious job in 2014 on La Gloria Cubana, maybe that is why RA898 was rolled at villa clara???

LCDH Stuttgart received 50 boxes. 20 were pre-ordered. By the end of the day, there were 23 remaining. First tastings by my local friends were very positive.

I upped my pre-order :innocent:

Three pages thread for a cigar that no one has seen yet!

We might get to six by the time someone posts proof of arrival!

So I placed an order. I was on the fence but the narrower ring gauge German REs have been outstanding cigars.
