Waah954 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 So i have had this happen to about 3 diffrent cigars within the last month and never experianced this before. While smoking a small hole apears to burn ahead of the rest of the cigar i dont really have the best words to explain, however find a picture attached which might be worth 1000 words lol Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
wolfain Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Dayum.. I can't explain this either.. But it generally smokes ok? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Waah954 Posted September 20, 2015 Author Posted September 20, 2015 Yeah they do this has happened to 3 diffrent cigars of different brands in the last month. Also i took the pic about 30sec after it happened so it doesn't look as trippy as when it first happened You just see this red burnning hole appear its trippy. Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
laficion Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Hi there Waah954, This Is called a,"Mouse Hole Burn",and Is caused by poor construction or poorly fermented/aged Tobacco. This happens when the ligero leaf Is prooly placed. If you have many happening, tell Habanos S.A.or tell It to your supplier. Guy 2

Guy Thanks laficion for that info.I had one of my friends freak me out by telling me that i might have tobacco Beatles which i argued cause the hole wasnt there before i started smoking. garbandz Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 "Seismic anomaly" nothing more than uneven burn due to poor construction, but three times in a month has got to be a record..........
Sprouthog Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Haven't experienced that yet. Thanks for posting it. Adding it to the knowledge bank.
Waah954 Posted September 27, 2015 Author Posted September 27, 2015 No problem i don't think its common as i have not seen it in 9 years of smoking... but like i mentioned above it happen to me 3 times in a month. Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
Habana Mike Posted September 27, 2015 Posted September 27, 2015 Had this happen on occasion, maybe 2-3 times a year at most.
studiousjr Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Just happened to me for the first time on a smoke that it should never have happened to! 1
Waah954 Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Just happened to me for the first time on a smoke that it should never have happened to! You think it affected your smoke experiance?Sent from my SM-G925I using Tapatalk
studiousjr Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 It ran along that edge the whole time and touch ups were a pain. It's practically tunneling under the wrapper and yes I expect more out of a $95 smoke. That was supposed to be a Cohiba Reserva if it was a legit... that is up for debate...
cigarbreak Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Could it be because of storage or ambient temp/humidity conditions? I know similar can happen for example if the wrapper is a bit more damp, and you are not puffing frequently or evenly...I get this when i smoke one right out of the Humidor sometimes....and i have to ensure i consistently puff it or it will either slowly go out or cause a run on one side (or a hole)
Afineash Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 No, definitely not a beetle issue as mentioned. Very odd though, can't say I have had this happen.
