Good day all! I have been smoking cigars since 2002 and was very active back in the day in a different forum (Cigarweekly) where a lot of the oldies here were members as well. Anyway, life got busy and I have stopped being active online and just recently, I tried to get back to the cigarweekly forums but my e-mail (hotmail) where my account used to be at got deleted already since I migrated most of my e-mail activities to gmail. Fast forward, I googled "cuban cigar forums" and this forum popped up... and the rest begins again :)

By the way, I have a bunch of cigars (sticks and boxes) that are from 00 to 06 that i have kept humidified and stored as best as I can at 65RH. I recently started to smoke them (basically, smoked very few from 07 to now) and I am a little surprised by the number of meeeh/flavorless sticks vs damn this is good! I guess, I should have smoked them earlier :(

The Sac is Back!

Welcome T! If you ever get to San Francisco let me know.

I hear what you say about the LT storage challenge. Personally, I'm not a big fan of the simple humidor or dress box as a method of LT storage. I follow the preachings of our man Nino ok.gif and, once humidity has stabilized, seal those puppies up and drop them into another sealed container (tupper or coolerdore, Nino uses stainless steel lockers). The flavor preservation is unreal.

We have more locals than I thought! Is there anywhere left in the City other than Cigar Bar to have a smoke? It was rough when I left to go back to Sac in 2010.

Papa,

Can you point me to the storing methods of nino? i have a couple of new boxes on the way. (of the lot that I had aging since 2003-2005, the 2 boxes of Cazadores and the majestics were waaay better than anything that i ever had! My supposed premium CC like the monti's, PSD4, and RASS were just so so, very muted flavors now...
