Kate Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Does anyone ever seen the description paper look like this? I bought a box of Cohiba Siglo IV (2012) from the supplier I trust, and found the piece of paper I've never seen before, makes me curious about where does it come from..... The supplier told me it should not be fake.
oliverdst Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 "it should not be fake." is a concern. I am not saying it's fake but he should guarantee. 2012? 1
Kate Posted September 14, 2015 Author Posted September 14, 2015 Yes, the info under the box is ORL OCT. 12. The paper looks older than the vintage. I've smoke cohiba siglo serie from 03 to current, but never seen that paper before.
hjmclain22 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 The English translation has a lot of issues to me. 2
kobsjones Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Six is spelled wrong...I would say fake, No mention of this parchment according to cubancigarwebsite.com http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/info-packaging.aspx#Internal_Notices 1
deejank Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Six is spelled wrong...I would say fake, No mention of this parchment according to cubancigarwebsite.com http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/info-packaging.aspx#Internal_Notices yea if CCW doesn't have it.... i would be worried that its fake 1
deejank Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 Looks like a counterfeiter ripped off the first line of this 2004 CA forum post. Notice "sixt" is spelled the exact same way. http://forums.cigaraficionado.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/7666095/m/20060865?r=75160275#75160275 Logical reasoning makes me believe this is a 100% fake 1
monkey66 Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 How does the paper compare in feel and print quality from the others you have had. Got to say does not look good to me. Post some detailed pics of the rest of the box and cigars and there may well be a clearer picture. 1
Jones Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 "It should not be fake" is sales speak for it is fake. 2
Stevieboy Posted September 14, 2015 Posted September 14, 2015 I've seen that slip in much older boxes. The new one looks like: Could be 'Cuba being Cuba' though and they're using up older slips?!? Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk 1
vitruvius Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 The French translation is actually good. Weird. 1
Thrassos Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 The more boxes I buy and open the more worried I get about quality control. We are all very afraid of fakes but Cuba does whatever they feel like and sometimes it looks fake but it's just a few employees making a mess of things... Only way to tell is to look at all other details and just smoke one. Tell your supplier that you will smoke one and if it doesn't taste right you want another box. 1
Lasabar Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 Just got a box from 09 of siglo II with this in it: Cigars were from Prez and the PCC vintage program
