Mostly they are the tears of others as I am generally happy witht the end result. Mind you my standard of satisfaction is akin to the worst dwelling in a shanty town . My nemisis is Smithy who being an Industrial designer is extremely picky. "It is not straight", "It is not square", "you forgot to bolt this...you forgot to glue that, why do you have parts left over, you screwed it up...you forgot....you...bla bla bla" Picky picky picky. Just because you have a design degree and actually own tools doesn't make you an expert Anyway, much tot he fear of the team here, I have taken on the rebuild and fitout of an old inflatable punt to be used as a shallow water Fly Fishing boat. I am nearly finshed and it is looking good. I just need to put in the Lowrance Elite 4 chirp finder and i am done. For that I need Smithy's help as I want to get a second opinion on where to fit it.....and then have him fit it as we (he) will need to drill a hole in the transom and fit the wire thingies I will post up some photo's wen completed over the weekend. Looks great. Let us know what you are working on currently and post up some photo's of the project completed or not. I will put the posts in a draw and put up a nice aged cigar tot he winner (drawn Friday 18th). Looking forward to seeing what you are working on!

Recently replaced a couple of sprinkler heads in the irrigation system, belts and rollers in a dryer, drawer slides and ice machine in the freezer. Stuff like that. Doesn't make for great photos unless one enjoys seeing sweaty, greasy guys cursing...... 2

The pipe is carved out of a cross cut briar block, and the block in the background is a plateaux cut with a gorgeous grain pattern. I will practice a few more times before I start carving out the pipe that's waiting in that one

I'm really impressed! No.... it's actual Tobacco Leaf from Pinar Del Rio Plantation. I had to encapsulate the leaf with a clear-coat epoxy on both sides to prevent crumbling after a few weeks. Once the leaves dried; I glued them, added some Cigarbox inserts, and assembled it for display 1

"El Habano" Vega De Tabaco Tapado C=1907 This Pic needs a frame....."El Habano" Fabrica Partagas C=1907, measures 11 1/2 x 22 inches All these measure 9 1/2 x 13 1/2, and they are embossed..... Back-side of embossed pics. Hope you enjoyed!! 2
