I feel as though the trading forum should open up if you buy some predetermined amount of boxes as well.  I just don't post enough. I guess I could rectify that with worthless posts but I'd rather not.

I see the restrictions as a way for other members to get the measure of the man, so to speak, before deciding to trade with them. Yes, you can wait and post a bunch of trite, inane posts, but would that you a more or less desirable trade partner?

I'm not a big poster, so I agree 100 posts seems like an arbitrary number.  I've purchased lots of boxes, that should count for something maybe?

If it was completely arbitrary, we would have used a random number generator. Would have been a bit silly if the requirement was 63 days membership and 27 posts.

I think they are good rules. I don't mind waiting. This place isn't just about buying boxes. Folks have been on this board for 10 years. They see newbies come and go and some stay and participate and other's don't.

To some it's all about the cigars to some it's about making new mates to smoke a cigar with all over the world. That's some pretty cool stuff right there IMHO.

nothing wrong with the rules in my opinion. I've bought a lot, but means nothing on a forum and it shouldn't. Think FOH does a great job of nurturing a great community here.

No worries, I really don't mind.  It's just a way to get to know who's who.  On an open forum like this you have no idea who anyone is, unless you already know them.  So it's really a way to develop some small level of trust, since there is no implied trust.  And I resemble that bar of soap......
