Punch Punch Seconds from 24:24

Did anyone else get a box of these from the sale of 8-13? I could not wait 30 days to let them rest so I had one. That was the most powerful cigar I have had in years. Full of flavor, solid white ash, and a very enjoyable smoke. Have 24 more hoping they are all the same. I should have taking a picture. Thanks Mr. Prez.

I got a box also. I've tried a few and have to say they're the best Punch Punch I've had since at least 03 and IIRC the 02-03 box I got was half duds. I've tried them consistently since then. Got a 05 or 06 50 cab that was tannic and bitter as hell, box from 09 was a bust, box of tubes from 12 was a bust.

I will say these 14s are solid but nothing mindblowing. But, they are Punch DNA all the way and have the strong, woody/cedar flavor and some tangy/citrusy background flavors. I've tried 3 and 1 burned well, one so-so and one poorly. They seem to start strong, get a little lighter in the second third and then finish very strong the last third with more of the tangy flavors at the end.

The woodiness is very strong. It's almost seems tannic but it's not. Not spicy or peppery either. Just...wood/cedar blast.

Assuming a good burn I'd give the first third a 90, second third an 88, last third a 92.

I've been smoking Punch since 96-97 (first CC I ever had was a Punch Churchill) and I can remember all the old Punch models having much more of the Cuban twang behind it but the strong woodiness and tangy flavors that I remember from the old Punch are there for sure. It's hard if not impossible to get that old Cuban twang anymore.

Will be interesting to see 15 production. Somebody apparently stumbled on the correct blend after 13+ years of incompetence. You'd think after discontinuing the Black Prince, SS2 and RS11 they could focus on making Punch Punch solid & reliable...but I give the HSA knuckleheads too much credit.

My box of Punch Punch 'seconds' look awesome. BMS Mar 14. Gonna lay down a while before trying. The OPG Mar 14 Punch Punch clearence from a few months back from the Pres are outstanding in my opinion.

I put a couple boxes in my OLH from a recent sale. I thought I made a mistake the first time I smoked some. I forgot about them, but just recently I figured I'd smoke one. The box is almost empty now!
