Blast from the past: Bolivar Petit Belicoso LE 2009

I have to admit I can't remember the last time I smoked one. To be honest I had forgotten abou them.

For those who have them and/or have tried them in the past 12 months, how have they been smoking? how have they developed? legs for further aging? good, bad or indifferent.

Smoked one the other day, med -full, Boli strong. I enjoyed with Bourbon. Put one aside for me if available.

Deep chocolate, very rich and strong. Great smoke.

I smoked two and both had tar dripping off it.

I had one within the last month and I still thought it needed more time which really surprised me. I have been trying these pretty much every 6 months waiting until I thought they were ready and I am still waiting. It is the only cigar I have had where my patience hasn't been rewarded by this much time. Could be I got the odd off box though.

Same here, LRE DIC 09. Smoked my first from the box last year and this thread got me to pull one out tonight. Nice and strong but not the depth of flavor I am looking for and no progress in them. My box could also have been off.

Smoked through 20 or so from a single box this summer. They were better last year, and better the year before that. Still ok, but they have certainly lost something for me. I would not hold on to these much longer. BBF from 08 or 09 have been miles and miles ahead of the PB.
