Reynaldo lanceros: weekend review

Got these earlier this summer and they are some of my favorite cigars at the moment. They were rolled at Conde Villenuva and have shaggy feet. Most are longer than the average lancero.

Opening third: lovely medium to full bodied, very sweet but not artificial. Hay and grassy notes, vanilla, and honey.

Second third: more sweetness, and the honey turns into carmel. A touch of shortbread pops in and out. The hay places very nicely and has been strong throughout.

My brother pics up the cigar and pretends to be me for a moment or two. He is still a tad young for these yet.

Final third: coffee starts to enter and the carmel is covering the palate in spades. The hay keeps coming and so does a touch of short bread every once in a while. Amazing until the end.

Reynaldos blends in my opinion are some of the very best you can find in Havana. For some reason everytime I smoke them I think I am smoking cohiba. His blends are how I wish behikes tasted every time I have them. Unfortunately they are not always so.

95 points and room to improve even more.
