Popular Post Carts
Figured I'd write on this stick as well. Hope I don't bore you all. Was given this cigar from a local botl who has given me the opportunity to try a number of cigars that I wouldn't be able to find. I wouldn't have sought out this cigar if it wasn't gifted to me. I've had a love-hate relationship with bolivar and I've typically had a hate-hate relationship with the LE program. 2014 has been an exception to the LE trend I've been on - I really enjoyed the Seleccion Privada and the same with this Super Corona. This was the first cigar I smoked of the day so my palate was fresh, and I enjoyed it with one of the, if not the, best mojitos in the city. That in itself was bliss. I knew the cigar was going to be strong, but this thing whooped my a**. Construction was perfect, the draw was (not too) easy. The cigar started out with espresso in a big way. Other than a powerful espresso flavour, I got some notes of cocoa through the first half of the cigar. Until the midpoint I would rate it between medium and full strength, but at the halfway point it picked up significantly. After the midpoint, I got strong cream flavours that lasted 4-5 draws and then dissipated. The second half of the cigar was very strong, and my body was feeling it. The botl that gifted it to me thought it was comical when I broke into a sweat as I smoked this thing down. Also in terms of flavour profile, I got some sweetness that I couldn't narrow down, but it was welcome as the strength built up. Overall I would give this a 90 as it stands currently, and I predict good things two years down the road. Thanks for reading!
Habana Mike
Nice review mate! I've enjoyed these since release. Actually just finishing one myself. Glad to see a reasonable ring gauge lately as well!

Gruezi Dan...Smoked a bunch of Singles of these on my recent Holiday in Europe. Great value on this marca as it retails for about 12Euro. As you know, more recent LE & RE in the Schweiz market are twice the price and not nearly as good. Big cigar that needs to be smoked after a meal IMO. Thoroughly enjoy these as I always ask myself after I smoke one, why I haven't pulled the trigger on a few Boxes? Dark chocolate, expresso, leather, earth are the predominant flavors. Medium full, razor sharp burn, plumey white smoke, with about a 80-90 minute smoke time. Usually paired it w a Cuban Rum. Great way to end the day... I most definitely will be looking to add a few Boxes of this Limitada as I believe it will only get better as the tobacco matures. Enjoy!
dangolf18
Merci! Greatly appreciate the feedback. Just snagged a box. I'll be tucking it away in my humidor and will try them in 5 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fugu
The Hermosos No. 3 certainly is one of the better LEs. There was a range of different box codes with these. My last smoke lies a while back, but similar to the 2009 LE this edition shows a bit of variability. Not as extreme as was the case with the '09 Petit Beli - with, from my experience, 50% excellent and 50% absolutely meh cigars - but still. Seems a bit too late now, as you say you just snagged a box, but I would advise on looking for the lighter, smoother wrappers in these for a better burn. Sold out in most places now anyway. Honestly, not bad, not bad at all. Fugu's comments above are a fine summary of where these are at, in my opinion.
