Popular Post Habana Mike Posted August 16, 2015 Popular Post Posted August 16, 2015 Old school smoke. With just over a year in the box on this one it's already seeming musty and dusty. Lots of earth and no dearth of flavor. While many of these can be tight, this one draws perfectly, nice smoke volume. Deep dark earthy, leather and luscious, lustful. Enjoyed to the end.....love me some Tacos! 7
DoubleDD Posted August 16, 2015 Posted August 16, 2015 Thanks for the review. I just had Rob pull me a box last week. Hopefully they don't disappoint in the flavor dept.
El Presidente Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Great pictures mate and I felt like I was there!
ksblazer Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Great review and pic's. This cigar is quickly moving to the top as one of my favorites in the Partagas line up.
fabes Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 Nice review! Simple with great photos. How would you compare these to 8-9-8s or shorts?
Habana Mike Posted August 18, 2015 Author Posted August 18, 2015 It's pretty much a completely different smoke in my book. Definite Partagas profile but deeper, earthier. Closer to a solid older 898 than a Short to me.
kwsaw63 Posted August 18, 2015 Posted August 18, 2015 Nice review. I also got a box of EAG July 14 Presidentes when Rob put them up on 24:24 and they have been spectacularly good. 1
hjmclain22 Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 Have any of you smoked these lately? I'm wanna buy some Cuban perfectos but the Cuaba profile doesn't appeal to me. Thanks.
Cubatabaco Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I bought a box recently and have smoked 2 so far. The first one was spot on while the 2nd was lackluster. I just lit up another and will report back. It's probably one of my favorite Partagas vitolas. Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk
Cubatabaco Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 The only issue that I'm finding out with these is that they take a while to get warmed up. I'm half way through my third one and it's just turning the corner at about the half way mark. It's a solid smoke for sure. I need to check my box to see what the code is, but these are going to be stellar in a few years! Sent from my SM-N920V using Tapatalk 1
hjmclain22 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Good to hear gents. I appreciate it. I'm gonna pull the trigger.
Habana Mike Posted July 10, 2016 Author Posted July 10, 2016 Smoked another from the box recently and even better than this one! When these are on they're some of the best representatives of what Cuban cigars were like when I first started over 20 years ago. May need to call in that '07 box from the locker soon! 2
