Lasabar Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I have searched the forums for "Romeo" and "Cherry" and seen some great reviews of many of Romeo's lineup. I just can't seem to put my finger on which one has the greatest flavor profile of that "Cherry" for me to purchase. I have only bought a box of Romeo 2 Tubos and DUKE's and neither tickled my fancy, but a cherry hint (not Swisher sweet) in a cigar would be well received by me! Which Romeo y Julieta do you prefer to bring out the "Cherry" in a cigar?
El Presidente Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 You need to concentrate on R&J Rosado wrappers. That is where the cherry emanates from . It doesn't really work with other wrappers. You want cherry...you want Rosado. The vitola doesn't matter.

What do you reach for when you just gotta have that Romeo cherry twang? Then I'll be in for a box of Rosado in that lineup!
anjimj Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Exhibition #4, short Churchill and Churchill sizes all deliver the cherry note. Have patience and wait till they come up on the 24:24. 1
Ramrod918 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Most cherry I have gotten is from a wide churchill so far , have had #4s , full churchills, and petit coronas, could be the date and wrapper but its just what ive noticed imo. 1
earthson Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 If you're chasing cherry, an Illusione ~mk~ does quite nicely for itself, as well. Just saying...

Wide churchill has tons, but I can't get behind the vitola. Cazzie has it, ex4 in spades. PC has the black cherry, black forest cake vibe. Fresh belicosos have it too. Cherry and toasted tobacco all around. All the ones I've got from Prez have been killer.
JohnS Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No.4...but only because, like El Pres has mentioned, the wrappers from the box have been a beautiful rosado colour!
Optic101 Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 The Ex 4 and PC are the only RyJ I have and they have both that cherry zing, the PC more on the darker side. Both boxes from Rob. 1
santela Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Never had many RyJ, but the POU JUN 13 Exhibition #4 had a good amount of cherry to it. 1
stunod Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 All the POU R&J's that I have are cherry bombs, put they all have the beautiful rosado wrappers 1
ksblazer Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 Ditto on what has been mentioned. Also get some cherry flavor in the Mille Fleurs.
MrGTO Posted August 8, 2015 Posted August 8, 2015 I was hooked after the first stick I smoked out of my POU EX#4 box!
