Nothing like old tobacco. HdM Churchill. Thick leather, chocolate, and the smoothness of a velvet couch. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

At the ANA lounge in Narita on my way to Shanghai. Wonderful cigar - a 1998 HDM Churchill.

Test drive for Party Maduro no.1 The label trim looks green but it is more gold with a green hue. Very special(as in unusual) aroma on this cigar.

Hello guys, hope all of you had a great weekend.

So on Saturday after dinner i thought it was a great idea to try the Rocky Patel The Edge Corona Maduro stick which i had dryboxed for a few days. This is my first Rocky Patel stick so your experience might be different.

Initial impressions of the stick is that it had solid construction, feels and smells great but had a little wind tunnel which was manageable.

Pared with some ginger ale soda+Teacher's whisky, it started off with medium bodied smoke, lots of light milk chocolate, some white pepper and faint cedar.

In the middle, the spice kicked in and it was full bodied. The chocolate was still there but the spice was damnnn (in a nice way).

Last third in the spice was geeting a little too strong for me and when i left about 1 1/2", i couldnt take it no more because i was starting to get a buzz.

In a nutshell, it was a decent experience but a tad too strong for me. I'll smoke this again but will have more food beforehand.

And oh did i mention i almost puked 5 times after that?

A couple more to round out the weekend:

Litto Gomez Small Batch No. 4 from 2011...a few years of age has mellowed this one out to a very enjoyable, rich, and complex smoke. Glad I still have one left!

Pre-dinner Partagas Short from AUG 13...draw on the firm side (as others have been from this box) but still enjoyable.

Not many cigars as work took over. But I found a Monte 4 from 2011 with a spot of mold so I decided to sacrifice it last night!
