I love the approach and the idea. Very much looking forward to hearing about how you think this goes!

I recently purchased some aged 08 HDM Eps 2 tubos, I took them out of the tubos and it sat my humidor at 67 RH for about 2.5 weeks. My friends and I 3 of them last night, it was smooth but spicy (I couldn't resist trying). I should have left it rest for another 3-4 weeks...but sometimes our desires get the better of us

It's prob going to be about 45 days but I can go 60. Hadn't really thought about time. I'll go for beginning of October .

Cool experiement. Im curious, why not do this with the same exact cigar at different rh and note the differences for that as well?

Great experiment!

I can already tell you, the dryer sticks, if left to dry long enough will be better assuming the cigars are actually similar.

One warning. Keep these cigars very temperature stable. Aqueous salt solutions have one major flaw. They only work well with pared hygroscopic materials if you keep the temperature stable. I don't have time to drone on about this, but if you search my posts containing 'aqueous salt' then you will find plenty of edifying reading.

Best of luck on your project! -Piggy
