ShortFatHokie Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 have anything on West Virginia peaches! My old next door neighbors planted a peach tree on the property line between our homes a few years ago, before they moved, and told me that once the tree started producing peaches, eat them and think of them when I do. The tree is now in its fourth year since planting and is LOADED with peaches. They are just getting ripe and I've sampled a few of them. These peaches are second to none! Juicy, sweet, fantastic! Don't think I'll have to be buying any peaches when I head home from my vacation on the Grand Strand in a couple of weeks. Thanks, Chuck and Fran!!! What a wonderful gift you've given to us!!! 1
saintsmokealot Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Time for some cobbler and/or grilled peaches with homemade vanilla ice cream! 1
ShortFatHokie Posted August 4, 2015 Author Posted August 4, 2015 My wife makes excellent peach cobbler! There are enough peaches on this tree to make cobbler once per week until next "harvest" season!

smokum Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 I love peaches and nectarines. I have never had anything as good as an Oregon peach or nectarine. You need a roll of paper towels to eat them. Damn. Harry &David are the only ones that Seem to,have them.
