El Presidente Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Well here we are on Friday morning, 10am. Lisa is bopping away to some old George Bensen, Smithy is polishing his new bell for the pushbike (Magnanimous Christmas gift from moi). We will have a big day in store but computers will switch off at 2pm so we can exchange gifts and cuddles and open a bottle of 1992 Penfolds Grange, light some Monte Millenniums and reminisce about the year. What a year. Smithy joins us January Launch of Friends of Habanos February Havana trip February Cigar Dinners March, May, July. Divorce proceedings threatened February, March, May, July. Assorted club fishing trips and long lunches Club China and Singapore Trip September. Relocation to Czar House October and opening October 15. Lisa, Smithy and Jason have worked their tails off and deserve every accolade. They bring a certain hum and vibrancy to day to day life which in turn makes Czar house a beacon to local members/friends. The launch of Friends of Habanos has been a major achievement for us this year. We wanted a vehicle which provided members everywhere a portal with which to share our everyday experiences. Hell, what you see on the forum is exactly what goes on in store......madness, confusion, disorganisation, sledging, laziness, lying and a shite load of laughter. We had no idea that it would actually work I shouldn't forget ken here as he was instrumental in setting the tone for the forum. When he started in February as our guest reviewer I was not aware of how pompous, disorganised and unreliable he was....he fitted in with the rest of us like a glove. So what is in store for FOH next year. PLENTY! Along with Ken and I , we will commence February 1st by adding 5 guest moderators (Havana/North America/Africa/Asia/Europe) which will enhance the global nature of FOH. Moderators will be rotated on a set term basis. More tours, parties, member specials, competitions, reviews and mayhem. Without a doubt however, the biggest thankyou must go to you. FOH is a community of kindred spirits who love life to the absolute fullest. Your good humour and nature have set a benchmark for the conduct of forums in that we are devoid of the worst elements of Tosserism....a disease that must be avoided at all costs. I love this time of year. Catching up with family and friends over a glass of your favourite, a fine Habanos and an open heart. From the Czar crew; Lisa, Smithy and myself, we raise our glass and toast to you a holy, happy and merry Christmas and a safe, prosperous, healthy and happy New Year. Cheers! Rob Ayala El Presidente
CIGARHead Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 What a year indeed! I only wish I could have made it to the opening of the FoH House....Cant wait to catch up with the crew for the Fl Keys fishing/debauchery trip in '07. Rob, I think I can speak for everyone else in saying that Czar and FoH have truly defined the words "customer service" and "family" respectively. This does not feel like a vendor/customer relationship though. More like a bunch of great friends who kick the ****, and enjoy everyday life...oh, and one guy who happens to supply the cigars;-) I look forward to FoH this new year. Sounds like there is a ton of good things in store. I for one am glad to be part of this. Thanks for the fun, laughs, bullshit and knowledge fellas!
Colt45 Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 As stated in another thread, it really has been a gas! A ton of great information, and a boat load of fun. To the Czar crew and all FOHers, Have a great time!
thschrminm Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 Feelings are mutual to all at CigarCzar... Very good job Rob and I am very glad to have you as an Habanos specialist...

JMH Posted December 23, 2005 Posted December 23, 2005 I've never known anywhere else on the net to have such a concentration of great blokes as this place does. I'm looking forward to the next Sydney foh event, after I unfortunately had to bail on the first one. All the members reviews have helped me spend a heap of cash recently, but in my mind, it was well worth it. Where else would I have spent countless hours this year when I was meant to be studying other that the foh? Where else would I have seen ken seductively posed in his studded leather outfit on robs new couch? There's no other place like the foh. Thanks for a great year

Have a healthy and prosperous New Year!
Loki Posted December 24, 2005 Posted December 24, 2005 Rob, Lisa, Smithy, and Jason I would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Healthy, Prosperous New Year. This Forum , what else can be said , is a great place due to the fact that in my short 5 months of participating not once has it been bogged down by the usual politics and general in-fighting of other cigar forums. The people here all seem to be genuine lovers of the leaf and kin spirits of the good life. To all of you A Very Merry Chistmas and I will be looking forward to another wonderful and intriguing year on this forum.
