Popular Post oneizzzz Posted September 4, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2022 From left to right: Arturo Fuente Hemingway Classic Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story Plasencia Cosecha 149 La Vega Robusto Eiroa The First 20 Years Toro Gordo x 2 Thanks @JohnS for inspiring these Arturo Fuente Hemingway line purchases. Looking forward to trying them. I enjoyed the lone Eiroa Toro Gordo I tried, so I figured I ought to buy a couple more. I would love to try the Prensado from The First 20 Years line (6 inches x 46 ring gauge). The Toro Gordo is 6x60 - which is a lot for me - but that's all they had in the shop. I asked for another Honduran smoke, and the fellow pointed me towards this Plasencia. 9
JohnS Posted September 4, 2022 Posted September 4, 2022 My pleasure, @oneizzzz. I hope all those cigars smoke fantastically for you! 👍

Popular Post pjansen Posted September 18, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 18, 2022 Continuing my quest for the most cubanesque cigars not from Cuba. Looking forward to trying these. Not pictured are 5 HR Claro 109s. 14
Popular Post Lycosa Posted September 19, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2022 Recent order. If you have any questions feel free to ask. The box contains 10 cigars. The Muestra de Saka coffin is the Exclusivo. 13
Popular Post PuroDiario Posted October 2, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 2, 2022 I was gifted a couple of Davidoff Royal Release Robustos from a coworker. I am generally skeptical when looking at hefty price cigars so I said whatever and I lit one up in the car driving back to NY when I saw I was on for heavy traffic coming back from CT. I found the cigar to be absolutely glorious, delicate, complex, deeply nuanced in its flavor profiles and a strength that did not take away anything from the flavor characteristics. It’s I think 80 bucks a cigar, so not ideal but I am think I am going to buy a box and lay them down for ever. Anyone here who has smoked these recurringly? I have another one I will test before pulling the trigger but interested in everyone’s views. I still think it does not match a top Cuban cigar in terms of progression and so, but still an outstanding cigar… 12

The blend of the Melanio series is aimed at being full-bodied (i.e full of flavour) and mild in strength. It's a combination I find quite endearing. It really appeals to my senses because you don't normally get coffee, earth...even leather notes in a cigar with such a mild strength. 3
cnov Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 I have a couple of Petit Corona left from that series, they have been fantastic, I'm pretty certain they were around $6 each in a 10 count so very friendly on the wallet too. I'd buy another if there were anywhere I could gets fairly priced one in the UK. There was a rogue one in the box that put me on my arse in terms of nicotine but that was smoked after a little hiatus so it could have been my low tolerance. 1

My last Olive Serie V Melanio Churchill I had in mid-September, which was sensational, was smoked around 200 metres from the beach on my hotel balcony in Sitia in East Crete, Greece around 10 am in the morning after a buffet breakfast. The temperature and weather were ideal...24°C (75°F) and blue skies. Taking all that into account, the cigar didn't get too heavy until it approached the end of the second third. Thereafter, yes it was distinguishable.

I haven't had the Sixto, but I do love the robusto. Placencia definitely scratches the itch for me when I want to throw in a curveball to my normally CC dominated smoking habits. 1
