Cohiba Lanceros box code BTO 2013

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I happened upon a gentlemen (an extremely reliable source) who is willing to part with a box or two of 2013 cohiba lanceros with the box code bto. I have the good fortune to have a box of siglo vi which are bto 2012 which are amazing.... However I've never smoked a lancero before can somebody tell me what they are like and if the bto 13 lanceros were any good... Also he has a couple of boxes one with darker wrappers and one with slightly orangey wrappers... Will post a pic of each... Which would u recommend. In my experience the lighter cohiba wrappers are better but then again I've only had experience with the siglo series... Please advise... Is it worth breaking the bank cause they are pretty pricey....

In the photos the left are the paler ones and the rights are the darker ones.....

Thanks in advance for any input :D

If you've never had a Lanceros before, purchasing a box is just a bad idea IMHO. I know plenty of experienced smokers who don't like thin ring gauges.

I agree with this....... but, if you DO like the long and skinny's then those cigars are THE BEST!

Basically, don't spend hard earned coin for something you don't know about, but if you like long skinny's then it's buffet time!

I too really enjoy lanceros / panatelas etc. and am sad that the unenlightened have driven them from the market. :P

We can't all be as "enlightened" as others. I for one am not a fan of most long skinnies, including the CoLa. I would second Smallclub's advice.

I concur.

People don't like long skinnies...people don't like fatties, people don't like LE or regionals....all valid opinions for "self" if you have tried them extensively enough.

Thanks for the feedback, so i had my very first cohiba lancero last night and wow it was breathtaking..... lasted over hour and a half with delicious thick plumes of smoke richly coated with notes of honey, cream, milk coffee, toffee and floral notes with the classic cohiba grassiness....the second half of the cigar packed some serious punch as well.... i want a box so bad the onkly thing im having trouble with is the price, i have to go one of two ways option 1.) 50 cab of 2006 Boli PC's (also amazing) which are half the price or option 2.) the CoLa BTO 2013 which were phenomenal.... The "tongue.png " symbol at the end was supposed to signify "tongue-in-cheek" (or whatever the equivalent Aussie expression is). smile.png
