Really cool. My dad still has and uses one that I made for him about 25 years ago when I was in grade school.

Regardless of age or skill level of the artist, I actually really like the piece. I think there is some legitimate talent in the proportions, the massing, the execution of it. And it looks very functional. Well done!

Perfectly imperfect! It looks great. What a great gift.

Reminds me of when I made this really great hash pipe in highschool. Never got to use it. My mom found it, I told her it was a gift for her.( No she didn't smoke hash) She just smirked and said thanks it was beautiful and put it in the china cabinet. It sat there for twenty some years till she died. Not sure where it is now. I'd sure like to try it out........

With some Dunhill Nightcap of course.

My daughter also made me a cigar ashtray a few years ago. Sadly it did not hold up to colder outside temps, but just the thought warms me heart. I know the feeling brother.

Absolutely priceless no question about it. You'll have that all your life I bet. Very nice!

Thanks for sharing.

That is brilliant!! And it looks great too! When's she going into mass production? :)

Did she consult you about making it? She's nailed those cigar "holder" cut out bits... You've got one hell of a designer/engineer in the making ok.gif
