I enjoyed this article. For me it shows on a micro level how Cuba is changing. While still facing ridiculous red tape, entrepreneurs (on a micro level in the main) are having a serious go. Like everywhere else in the world, entrepreneurs are mostly Cuban mums and dads.

Our qualms about the quality and supply of cigars in the face of a full opening of the trade embargo seem almost insignificant compared to the opportunity for a real living income and fulfillment of dreams for these people. Good on them!

The profit incentive is a powerful thing. Now, if those beautiful people could just gain their freedom, and their government get out of their way, their quality of life would skyrocket.
