Bambino68 Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Hello all I'm off to Cancun for a wedding this weekend and was wondering if anyone has any information on LCDH Cancun. Id like to get over there & make a purchase, Im trying to find some Cohiba Behinke 52's and received an email they have several boxes. Any help is appreciated!
rbelcastro Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 I was there once several years ago and was not impressed. My advice is take a trip to Cozumel and visit Havana Bob's. Guaranteed authentic CCs and a great guy to boot.
Benzopyrene Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Its in the middle of the big circle road that goes to all the resorts....its nice enough, but the cigars in Mexico are super expensive due to their ridiculous taxation. having been the the LCDH in Mexico City this place definitely blows that away, but have been to much nicer LCDH's in other parts of the world. I would keep my eyes open for the Dantes el condes regionals......really the only thin worth buying from Mexico at their prices IMO.
noreaster Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Absolutely a must see while in Cancun...David the bartender makes great mojitos and the humidor is well stocked..check out the pics on trip advisor and you will be sold...
melies Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 David is the owner, really great place, go there once a year. Just came back a few weeks ago, and yes its expensive but you will find an incredible assortment (they indeed have all of the behike's, Conde 54, Monte 80 and other stuff) and a great place to have a smoke, either inside or at the balcony. Lovely mohitos, unusual cuban rums and great espresso. Also avoid like the plague LCDH Playa del Carmen. Horrible stuff over there, dry cigars and bad stock. 1

melies Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 do they have customs? Yep, but don't remember the roller's name. I have only have the custom "56" and shaggy foot DC, both quite good. 1

CUBANO Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 do they have customs? When I was there in May they had customs that were supposed to be the same blend as the Edmundo Dantes 109 1
Tallman Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Absolutely a must see while in Cancun...David the bartender makes great mojitos and the humidor is well stocked..check out the pics on trip advisor and you will be sold... ^^^ This. David uses fresh cut sugarcane as a muddling stick when making his mojitos. His card says "David, the Mojito man"...he's a nice guy.
Habanos2000 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I was there a couple times, three years ago. David does make a great Mojito "especial"! The cigars on display made me happy that I don't have to buy my stock "blind". Some really poor looking cigars are out there.
Vetteman Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I've been there several times over the last few years and IMO it's got a better selection than either PdC or Coz. It's across from the police station that's next to the Kulkukan (sp?) Mall. They did have customs most of the times I was there. Sit on the porch out back overlooking the lagoon, and enjoy a smoke/drink
madandana Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 If you get down to PDC visit Rushmans shop. He a member here...Look him up.
raymond5737 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 First of all bring your own. Then if something jumps out at you, proceed with caution.
