The one special cigar you have in your stable that you just cant bring yourself to smoking.

You plan to do so...the day comes...you break the box or peruse the remaining few singles ...and you put it back for "another day"..."another special occasion".

Does anyone else have this occur?

What is the cigar that is calling you....that you are saving for a special time...that you continue to put back.

Did this again the past few days with an 80's SLR Churchill. I only have one stick remaining. One day rolleyes.gif

I've smoked good cigars that were crap and bad cigars that were good. I don't save cigars anymore, i just smoke em whenever i feel like. I'm more scared of "that day" never coming and not getting a ch

I give the last cigar from the box away - saves the heartache of decision - done it for many years

Every day is special ,,smoke em while you got em

Whilst not exactly down to one Cigar, I am like that with what remains of my PSDC #1'S AND 3'S and my PUNCH RS 11'S and 12's

Even though i am not down to "my last sticks " supplies are fast disappearing,so the rule applies i suppose,

I keep putting off smoking them trying to stretch them out. but at the back of my mind i think that day may never come ,i should live in the moment "Carpe diem "

My only Edmundo Dantes 109

My concern is I'll fall in love with it and then send myself broke trying to chase more down on the secondary market

Maybe I'll smoke it when I win the lottery and money becomes no object...

I have two Monte 2's left from a box I bought in Havana at the Habana Libre LCDH. These are the last two cigars I have from that trip in 2012. Just can't bring myself to smoke them.

Thankfully I am not so afflicted. I very recently stumbled upon, and smoked, my last '05 Punch RS 12. Had I saved it for a "special" occasion, I'd have been extremely disappointed. But to be fair, I doubt it would have known whether the occasion was special or not.

Harden up and smoke it!

Easy, my final FOH blend "Tampa"

2 left for me cigar.gif

I have one each of FOH's Czar and Tampa customs left, a BHK 56, and 9 left of some 2in. Flor de Farrach Habanas in the the cardboard box of 5 each. Smoked one, and despite its 60 year old age - it was FANTABULOUS!!! Those, I can't bring myself to give over to the lighter, the ash tray and the final "farewell"!

Punch RS 11. I'm down to 5 in my first box and 18 in the second. I rarely smoke them.

But I smoked one last night on the rooftop of the beach house I'm renting and it was amazing. With great sadness I had to leave it to rest after the first two thirds because I had to leave. Sucked. I even looked back at it as I was walking away.

When my youngest son was born, I handed out Dominican Davidoff "T"'s. That was before I met Rob, 1998. I still have one left, waiting for that "special" day!

One last Cohiba 1966 nurtured with great restraint finally slated for palpitation-inducing sacrifice next month while skating a bucks bug for summer-run steelhead. Gotta pick your spots!

This happens quite often. For me it's a few late 1980s/1990s Montecristo No.3. I have always heard about how good pre-1997 tobacco is. I only have two of these. Saving them for a special occasion. Who knows if they'll be that good...maybe it's just something I've built up in my mind.

Cohiba 1966 and La Ecepcion SF, only have two of each and I'm worried I'll love them and have to track more down. Keeping them for my buddies wedding next year!

I have a Monte 1 from the late 90's. I got a 5'ER of them in Feb 2000 when I was in Canada for a choir trip when I was 16. My brother gave me the idea to try and purchase a few cuban cigars. I walked in and picked out the Monte 1 just because of the name and size of the cigar. It was the first cigar I ever smoked. I remember standing outside the Amsouth Bank that my brother managed in 30°F(-1°C) weather. We were both smoking one, and we were both amazed how fantastic they were.

That cigar started my love of cigars. Anyways, I have one left, and can't bring myself to smoke it.

The cool part is Rob picked me a HQ box of Monte 1 from 2011. I brought a couple down to the beach with me so my brother and I could try one again together. He doesn't really smoke cigars, but he has been super excited since I told him I was bringing some Monte 1s.

A while ago I stumbled on a couple of 5ers of Hoyo du Roi from '99. They are amazing! Of course i smoked a couple but now i am down to 15 left, and I am pretty certain that I will not be able to find them again. So, every time I go for the locker, I have a look at them, but then choose something else to smoke...
