Hi everyone,

I've recently stocked up on some Cohiba Robusto Supremo 2014 LE cigars for long-term resting. I aim to smoke these on special occasions in the future. How do these compare with Cohiba's exclusive top-of-the-range cigar, the Behike 56 (or 54/52 for that matter)?

I must admit, due to the recent shortage of (quality) Cohiba stock, I haven't had the opportunity to sample a Behike cigar. No doubt I will in the (long-term) future.

I am not a big fan of the BHK 56 but love the BHK 54 and 52. IMO the BHK are better than the Supremo. The caveat on this being that the Supremo is still a relatively young cigar and may yet still develop to be on par with or better than the BHK. Only time will tell. On a side note the Cohiba 1966 is a beauty if you are able to get hold of some.

The '66 is a brilliant cigar right now. Personally, I prefer the '66 over the BHK range.

Had a '66 on Friday. Even in a relatively humid environment it was stunning. Also last longer than the Supremos!

Amazing how the thread changed from BHK's 56 to 66' ?... As inticing as the picture looks, I'd go with the Supremos over the BHK 56 right now. I've had multiples of both and feel that the Supremos have got a little ways to go but are still a complex, enjoyable smoke that changes seamlessly if you have the patience.

I've been disappointed with the BHK line as of late.. Even with the 54 (which is my favorite size). The bar was set very high upon the 2010 OR of the BHK series (not the 06' humidor). I still have a few BHK 54 left from that release and they are stunning cigars. Nothing has really come close recently from Behike. Just my opinion

The BHK 52 I had the other day did not blow my socks off. First one I've had, but after everything I've heard or read I expected more. It seemed to be the typical Cohiba flavor profile to me, nothing more. Granted all I've had we're a few Esplandidos and Siglo VI, but this seemed right on par with them. Id say go with whatever you like but to me the BHK line is overpriced hype.

The flavor profile between the 2 are different. The CRS is a complex cigar, albeit too fat of a size for me. I think its a great cigar, however. When compared to a top drawer CORO or Siglo 4 or 6, it's not that much better and way too expensive to justify the top drawer price. BHK's have a spicier flavor than the CRS, but again, no better than a regular production PSP Cohiba IMO. I love Cohibas. But I prefer the regular production ones when they're "on".

The one 1966 LE I had I think has set the benchmark for quality cigar in my humble mind. If these CRS 2014 LE's, down the track, are anywhere near the quality of that memorable smoke I will indeed be a happy man! lol3.gif

I have seen some shocking Behike in all three formats ..when they were initially released I picked up a couple of box's of 52 which were excellent. I found them better than the 56 and 54 ...

Had a supremo on the weekend from a box split...John you and Kam received two each, they are sensational ..best cigar this year easily. My brother sent me a box from Saudi and I picked up a box from Rob when he first had them they are gone . The supremo are a better cigar in my opinion if you can savour them then good for you ..I am smoking mine, they are just so good ..loving them ATM

I had a couple of CRS singles and liked them enough to get a couple of boxes. I think it is too soon to judge them but think they are really good now but with more potential. I prefer them to the BHK56 but not to the BHK54 or 52 at this time. Do agree the 1966 tops them all for me.

You went pretty deep on those CRS no?

I have only 4 cigars, at the moment. I also have other special releases that I am saving for special occasions as I like to have a varied cigar collection. As has been mentioned previously on our forum, they are a significant investment at $US41 or $AU79 a stick. However, they have an 2-year aged maduro wrapper, a 58 ring gauge and they smoke very, very well! cigar.gif

I have 4 boxes of the Supremo and smoked 1 for taste. Supremo was awesome, apparently the 2014 Supremo will be the bees knees in 4-5 years time if you can resist smoking them. I'm going to get me a couple of 54 and 56 sticks to try out and let you know my thoughts.
