Pairing a great cigar with great wine or spirits, or pairing great wine or spirit with food. Do any of you pair food or snack on anything while smoking or does it completely kill the taste profiles of the smoke as it does for me. What your favorite pairing ?

If I am having alcohol it's scotch, rum, bourbon, whiskey, beer, port, and sherry. Mostly it's coffee, tea, and sparkling water. Never wine as well. I save that for dinner and I don't like the way it pairs with cigars.

I usually drink sparkling water with my smokes but from time to time i like to pair my cigars with a great beer.

Sometimes I'll eat some almonds or an apple when I'm smoking or between smokes as they help clear the palate. That's about it.

Chai Tea...hot or cold, depending on the weather. Root Beer, iced cold. Ginger ale with lighter cigars and Ginger Beer with heartier ones. Cafe con Leche and its various incarnations. I don't drink alcohol, nor smoke when I eat.

You don't find the burn in ginger beer wrecks your taste buds?

I have a friend who pairs cigars with foods. He says it accentuates the flavored. I tried it once with a lightly seasoned, juicy porterhouse steak. I don't remember the cigar but it may have been a PSD4. I have to say I was impressed with the results but have not repeated the experiment because I feel dirty when smoking and eating at the same time.

I love pairing plain water with my cigars. I feel that water can accentuate some of the flavors without changing anything in the profile. I also sometimes pair coffee and tea with cigars.

I normally just drink water with my cigars, but if I do have an alocholic drink it is rum

I don't mix food and cigars - I'm sure it goes together well but I just think a cigar is something to enjoy after a meal :)

My favourite pairing is simple...black espresso coffee. I am open to other pairings though, but coffee is my favourite.

I have found watermelon to be an effective palate cleanser. I enjoy tea, coffee, root beers, vanilla ice cream tastes nice to me towards the last third on more pungent cigars as well as vanilla soy it almond milk.

I usually have Coke, Dr Pepper, root beer, or coffee while having a cigar.

During the day coffee, espresso, or San Pelegrino scotch or bourbon of alcohol. Although I love red wine I rarely pair with cigar

Ice water or black coffee every time! Have heard many others love pairing with Dr. Pepper...not sure if that is for me but curious to try it. Any others who pair with Dr. Pepper have any thoughts as to why it works well for them?

tried today dandelion & burdock from fentimans very interesting taste i paired it with a mag50 hoping it would bring out that stonefruit flavor i think the cigar is too young (BUM ENE14) to really shine but its a smooth pairing.

I used to pair Dr. Pepper with cigars fairly often, but haven't done it in a while. It worked better with stronger cigars like Bolivar or Partagas. I typically enjoy bourbon with my cigars these days.

I'll normally have iced honey lemon or Coke.

I think i'll be making my own mojito this weekend to pair with the cigar.

Just tried Bundaberg Ginger Beer with a Cuaba recently, paired together well! The Diplimatico I had on the deck was awesome with the Penfolds Bin 138 as well.
