It seems like years since anyone asked everyone to post their favorite malt or blend. I am partial to non chill filtered cask strength malts from Islay. What about you?

Hah, I thought you said Italy at first, didn't know they made whisk(e)y there nyah.gif

Lately, among others my go-to has been Teelings Irish aged in Rum cask. Generally an Islay man myself.

Top shot.

Quite obviously, you're a Cadenhead-head.

I am an avid Islay man also.

In fact, I named my second daughter Isla. lol2.gif

But, I am still on my journey.

Currently I am deeply in love with Tasmanian.

And forever forced to love Irish whiskey.

I absolutely love Glenlivet 15 Yo. I know there are others out there, I do enjoy the 18yo also but for value for money along with quality, the 15yo is absolutely brilliant neat.

It is outstanding. I love Balvanie 12 triple wood too.

I love threads like this, great to see what everyone is into.... Sadly, scotch is no longer allowed near me thanks to a Christmas party with an open bar five years ago.... But I do prefer the Islay spirits as well so long as they are gin and called "the Botanist"...

Otherwise, I'm a big fan of bourbon, currently partake in Knob Creek, Bulleit, Pogue, you name it....

If you can find the breckenridge it's a great bourbon. One of my new favorites. Just hard to find

Definitely, give these a try. I'm enjoying ***** From The Barrel at the moment.

Willet Potstill is a great bourbon. It can be hard to come by West of the Mississippi though. Angels envy makes a nice rye that is also a bit of a bugger to find.

Everyday go to's include Makers and Woodford.

Taken a particular liking to Lagavulin 16 and Laphroaig PX cask of late...

They should really start selling that stuff in 1.75l bottles - I go through those little 500ml thingies far too quickly ;)
