Popular Post El Presidente Posted May 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 20, 2015 I received the Diplomatico Bushido Pricing earlier today. International $700 USD * Domestic $1725 officially (But Aussies just ask me direct for wriggle room). * there may be a small shipping fee as the packaging and weight is impressive. I have pitifully little stock at this point and Di will start contacting the waiting list next week. I have a little more arriving early next month and then hopefully enough to meet all orders. I smoked one this morning and will smoke another tomorrow before doing a full review over the weekend. There are a few reviews by other members around but for those that have smoked them, please post your thoughts here. The Diplonatico Bushido was created by PCC to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the first Japanese citizen to visit Cuba. During the Keicho mission, samurai Hasekura Tsunenaga stopped in Cuba (then part of New Spain) on his way to the Vatican in Rome. Vitola/Size 109 50 x 184 (7.2#) 5
JohnS Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I agree about the packaging, it's ornate and certainly adds to the appeal. The cigar works out at $AU69 (minus wriggle room) or $US28 (+ shipping) each, purchased by box. Rob, can you kindly add in your review the smoking time? For a 184mm x 50 ring gauge cigar I'm anticipating it'll take somewhere between 2hr 15 min and 2 and 1/2 hours. The last few Churchill vitola cigars I've had (178mm x 47 ring gauge) took me around the 2 hour mark.
LordAnubis Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 That box would look lovely with plain packaging stickers/Health warnings all over it Cheers pres! 4
Popular Post srbbones Posted May 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted May 20, 2015 I suggest selling samplers from one box. Then use that lovely box to block the view of Ken's feet for the next review! 11

Fuzz Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Gorgeous looking box! Unfortuantely, out of my price bracket... at the moment. I wonder if I can convince my brother in Sg to buy the box for me. I'll sneak in 5 cigars every time I visit him!!
HarveyBoulevard Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I wonder if anyone guessed correctly from the contest? I know I didn't. 1

oliverdst Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 According to Cigar Insider US1090 I love that magazine!
rtrimbath Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 After dropping $689 on a box of MUO Esplendidos, I think I'm going to have to sit this one out. I definitely don't need to make purchasing $700 boxes of cigars a habit!
Maestroso Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I suggest selling samplers from one box. Then use that lovely box to block the view of Ken's feet for the next review! I'm in for that reason alone! Smart way to enduce people into going high on samplers. (One box enough? He's got two feet unfortunately. )

stargazer14 Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Rob, put me on the list for 3 sticks when you decide on that sampler box. Always a fan of Dips, I'd love to both smoke some and add to my 'Dip Box'.

Hoepssa Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 Bought them in Japan LCDH Ginza, not much in their stores as Bushido is limited for 2000 box, Cigar Insider said it's 1000 USD per box is "correct" in Japan, price there is 5000JPY per, that's almost 50 USD per stick...Thank God the price is better here. all 3 thirds never let you feel spicy, rich of creme, toffee taste and comfortable, I can't tell it would be stellar in the future, but Bushido is very good to taste right now, hardly a young cigar having such a taste. 4
Hiroshiro Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 about $42 A Stick with the Current Exchange Rate. I can't wait for these Rob! I need a Few Boxes at that Price. Way better than I thought it would be. I"m pretty happy with it! 1
Xavier Posted May 20, 2015 Posted May 20, 2015 I think is the first time in my life I guessed something correctly! Now I'm off to get the Lottery ticket Wait! Rob said that will be a extra fee for the weight... close enough... mejor paga tu ese fee y así te quedas en los 700 y con el premio! 1
