I'll give more of the steps as I go. grill started meet resting 1
LordAnubis Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 Look forward to it. Even never seen a smoker in action... post lots of pics
bugg4672 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 I'll be using Apple and Cherry wood chips to help flavor the ribs Alright got the wood ready and added Cherry wood chips for flavor. Got the ribs on the grill We all know how important humidity is, I added an iron skillet above the heat with about an inch of Apple Juice the heated Apple juice will help keep the ribs moist. I'll go and check on the fire and wood chips about every 20-30 minutes. More to come in a few hours. 1
bugg4672 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 I just started stage 2 of 3. Here is what they look like after 3 hours of smoking. I have a piece of foil with a 1/4 cup of Apple Juice on it along with some Honey and Butter I put about a 1/4 cup of all 3 on it but its up to you what you want to do. Just make sure when you put the ribs on the foil you put them face or meat side down. Now that I have them both wrapped I'll let them smoke face or meat side down for another 2 hours.
bugg4672 Posted May 15, 2015 Author Posted May 15, 2015 Just unwrapped the ribs for the last part of the smoke, they will cook for 1 hour with the heat that is left, then it will be time to pig out, Rib #1 Rib #2 1
bugg4672 Posted May 16, 2015 Author Posted May 16, 2015 Light pink and juicy, I did add BBQ sauce after I took it off the grill. It was amazing. Total cook time is 6 hours but I went 7 this time, stage 2 was suppose to be 2 hours, I went 3.
