First Lady Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Hi Guys Thanks for your patience , I was waiting on a few members to get back to me The Blind tasting Cigar no 2 was ............................ Bolivar Royal Corona - ULA JUL 14 Congratulations on those members who picked the right cigar You can start emailing me your choice for No 3 when you are ready Have a great week everyone Lisa Book1.pdf
Rye Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Wow! This one really threw me Stupid robustos Thanks again Lisa! 2
khamy Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Congrats to all that hit the mark this time. Glad i was able to pick up on that one, having missed on the PSD 4 last year. Both having been in my regular rotations in the past and it was embarrassing to have had the miss with the psd4.. 1
santela Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Holy crap! Can't believe I got it right. Lucky guess!
bradbrennan Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 dang I really wanted it to be a coro to give me a good excuse to buy a box of them congratulations you guys that guessed it right! 2
GavLew79 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I've got a box of ULA JUL 14 in my rotation and didn't even get it. 1
Optic101 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I've got a box of ULA JUL 14 in my rotation and didn't even get it. Welcome to the club. Have ULA May 14. 1
JohnS Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Damn, this is hard. Yes, you've got over 50 cigar smokers and only 5 of them got Cigar No 2 correct. Congratulations to those who made the right choice, my sympathies for the rest of you!
ShortFatHokie Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Wow! BRC, didn't even consider that as an option...nothing like the ones I've had previously.
CaptainQuintero Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Wow! This one really threw me Stupid robustos Thanks again Lisa! I remember last year my 100% solid sure thing cigar was the Cohiba Robusto, and that turned out to be the bolivar RC. I'm thinking to invest in RC for a much cheaper Cohiba!
tomaszgeorge Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I'm really enjoying this competition even though I'm now 0 for 7 over 2 years! Every time I have convinced myself that the flavours point to a certain marca and I've been wrong every time. I would probably have more success if I send in my guess before I smoke the next one.
Fuzz Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Congrats, Kam! Haven't had many BRCs, and to be honest, I don't like Bolivars. Didn't stand a chance in picking this one.
Rye Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I remember last year my 100% solid sure thing cigar was the Cohiba Robusto, and that turned out to be the bolivar RC. I'm thinking to invest in RC for a much cheaper Cohiba! Pretty sure I did the exact same thing last year as well. So now I've gone and done it twice...
warren516 Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I'm glad that I wasn't the only one picking what I did, unlike last time.......To me it was a very mild cigar not what I think a Bolivar is
zmancbr Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Well I really had no clue what it was...all I know is it was terrible...awful...and I considered pitching it halfway. I've had 14 BRCs too and they were killer...but once again I had the dud from the box. Thats 0/2 on cigars this challenge as both sucked bad! 1
KoreanCowboy Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Damn! That was the last cigar I was going to pick. I honestly thought I had this one nailed. I even compared it to my other robustos and it really only matched 1 in color and shape. Well crap! 0-2 now!
melies Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I still say mine was a Cohiba robusto that got mixed up in the shipment hahaha! Congratulations to the winners! 3
mrsgucia Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Maybe Bolivar Royal Corona Tubo? My regular BRC r great cigars.
Habanos2000 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Of course! BRC's are one of my favorite and most often smoked cigars and this one was no where near what I'm familiar with. Gosh I suck!
toasterhead Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I am also humbled and 0 for 2. I held this cigar next to every robusto in my collection, and would have never guessed BRC. After smoking it, I would have bet the farm against BRC. I am crushed, bitter and angry. Goddammit Dave 2
Yagermeister Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa? I thought for sure I'd be able to pick out a Boli RC in a lineup. Such a distinctive flavor and I didn't pick up any of it in this cigar. I am officially disappointed in myself.
