I'm enjoying scotch Sunday / Monday morning as well while I finish some work before a half day tomorrow. I'll be drinking Old Style in the Wrigley Bleachers by 1pm. Although mine's nowhere near as good ? 3

prodigy Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 No pictures, it's been a crazy week. We closed on our house last weekend and took Monday off to move in. Worked late at work all week and was able to leave early for good Friday. Just had an old Forestor birthday bourbon and punch punch, followed by a George t stagg and Sancho panza belicoso. lovethehaze Posted April 28, 2019 Posted April 28, 2019 Hop butcher Two-Flat another 4/22/19 canning, must have been a good day... at least it was for me Voted best brewery in Chicago 2019 and 167 breweries to choose from. Not quite as hazy as I like but an APA which is unusual for them, usually as cloudy as they come. Smells of ripe juicy oranges and tastes similar adding a little pineapple and citrus notes as well. Super juicy and still hoppy but not overwhelming and smooth. Almost like Lagunitas citrusinensis if anyone has had it. Body and finish the same solid choice if u can manage to find it which is no easy feat. Cheers 3
Popular Post kevpro Posted April 29, 2019 Popular Post Posted April 29, 2019 Got to try a lot of great stuff over the weekend at a whiskey tasting. The George T Stagg was my favorite and paired well with the Monte No 2 to finish the evening. I'm also a big fan of Irish whiskey and enjoyed all of them including my favorite, Yellow Spot. I was disappointed by the Japanese / Canadian whiskeys though. Crown XR had no character at all to it and the Yamazaki 18 did not live up to the hype. However, as one of the few who really enjoys Laphroaig I happily finished a couple of my friends pours. 5
lovethehaze Posted May 3, 2019 Posted May 3, 2019 Hop Butcher Double Grid .... holy haze !!! canned 4/30/19 Straw look with ripe peach and mango adding honey.. like a sugar cookie but still hoppy and malty enough to keep it a NEIPA add citrus in and out and so creamy and smooth 4.7/5 amazing stuff cheers 4
