Colt45 Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 Monte Rossa Flamingo Franciacorta Brut Rosé - very, very nice. 60% chardonnay, 40% pinot nero, light color, fine bubbles, layers of flavor. 2
Popular Post SirVantes Posted September 14, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 14, 2018 Bloody Shiraz G&T to start the Singapore F1 GP weekend 5
Popular Post HarveyBoulevard Posted September 19, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 19, 2018 Liquid fire... Stagg Jr. barrel proof @131.9 proof. I tried it neat and it was a tad fiery. It has calmed down considerably with an ice cube. Excellent stuff either way depending on your mood. 5
Popular Post mtd057 Posted September 20, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 20, 2018 Beautiful bottle of whisky! 5
earthson Posted September 23, 2018 Posted September 23, 2018 Hill shine - corn/barley mash clocked in at 186 proof. Condensed through a copper coil and no charcoal filter. Served as a 50/50 mix with tapwater. Smell is of springwater and tequila, flavor is long on grains and beningly medicinal (eucalyptus). Finish is clean with a warming burn. The real magic is the purity - no hangovers to be had despite the amount consumed. Sto lat! 2

It works very well for me. Just a touch of sweetness from the rum cask finish does the trick every time. It is a very approachable whisky. I also like the fact that it is 43% ABV and reasonably priced.
Mr.T Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Starting to get cool so an Old Fashioned with Buffalo Trace will do nicely Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4

Colt45 Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Very well done. Great overall character though not overly complex. At U.S. $16, an easy choice. 3
TypicalSituation Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Just a house Manhattan today. Nothing too fancy. 1

Stilled by the Willett people, generally widely available and simply fantastic whiskey that drinks several shelves above its price. 2

Excellent, but not easy to find at least in my neck of the woods. I picked up a few bottles of bourbon and Rye last year when I visited the distillery. I highly recommend a visit if you ever get the chance.
