sengjc Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 2002 Irvine Grand Merlot.Very impressive but I feel the 2005 has a richer profile. 1
sengjc Posted July 7, 2017 Posted July 7, 2017 2009 Atalon Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Not bad. I think I can get accustomed to American wine. 1
sengjc Posted July 8, 2017 Posted July 8, 2017 A slosh of 30 Year Old tawny. Some fortification against the dismal cold weather. 2
Colt45 Posted July 14, 2017 Posted July 14, 2017 New at one of my locals and new to me. Can't find the exact blend ratio, but is cab based along with some syrah. I don't drink much cab these days, but am a fan of Provençal wines, and this one is done well. At U.S. $14, I'll probably grab more. The fruit flies dig it. 1
LLC Posted July 15, 2017 Posted July 15, 2017 One of the very few (only?) Canadian reds I really enjoy. Bought 6 in 2001 and have had one per year to see how it progresses. This was the last bottle and it was very good but I think it peaked last year. 2008 Burrowing Owl Merlot from the Osoyoos region of BC. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1

I haven't heard that brand mentioned in a long time. I bought a few bottles of their tequilas way back at Spec's in Texas.

Colt45 Posted July 29, 2017 Posted July 29, 2017 Marco Felluga Collio Bianco Just Molamatta 2015 From what I could find - 40% Pinot Bianco, 40% Tocai Friulano, 20% Ribolla Gialla. Dry chalky structure with acidity which I love, fruit shows, all in balance. Winner winner, chicken dinner
Mr.T Posted July 30, 2017 Posted July 30, 2017 A lovely Sunday afternoon and a Mojito Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
Colt45 Posted August 6, 2017 Posted August 6, 2017 Cordero Di Montezemolo Barbera D'Alba 2015 Very well made, but more oak than I like for Barbera (I kind of prefer more purity). If I revisit, I think I'd leave it for a few years.
