sengjc Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 2010 Clarendelle red.Impressive for a 'vin de Bordeaux'. 1
sengjc Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Some 2001 Highbank Coonawarra Basket Pressed Reserve Cabernets.Love the Aussie wine, still the best as far as paring with a cigar goes - the moreish profile completes any smoke. 1
sengjc Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 The remainder of the 2001 Highbank Reserve Cabernets. 1
sengjc Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Tried the newly released Glenmorangie Private Edition Bacalta.Love the perfumed nose: sweet, winey, vanilla.Unfortunately the palate is a little bit of a let down and nothing very much special compared to their standard 'the Original' at half the price. The only difference is that this has a hint of sweet wine note on the finish with a little more spice to the profile. Not bad, just feel that it's priced a little much for what it offers. 2
SirVantes Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Midleton Single Cask. A good flagbearer for Irish single pot still whiskey, and a hit with my non-whisk(e)y drinking friends for its lack of aggression (until the 59.5% abv hits them). 2
treberty Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 I had the Bulleit Rye over the weekend; not bad at all! Especially for the price. 3
Philc2001 Posted March 12, 2017 Posted March 12, 2017 Just poured some Four Roses Single Barrel to pair with a JLS2.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
sengjc Posted March 13, 2017 Posted March 13, 2017 Having a surprisingly excellent and highly enjoyable 2010 Montrouge Chateauneuf du Pape. 1
sengjc Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Robusto with some red wine - a rather inexpensive bottle that was gifted to me: 2014 Rouge Homme Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon. Not a bad quaffing wine. Quite light in body, medium at best. Not complex at all.The cigar on the other hand is superb. 1
SirVantes Posted March 14, 2017 Posted March 14, 2017 Having a couple of fellow peatheads over for an Ardbeg night. Should be fun.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3

sengjc Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 Arturo Fuente Hemingway Work of Art Maduro from 2010.Unseasonal hot weather demands for some chilled rose to go with the stick.Like it's namesake, this smoke is a work of art!

Colt45 Posted March 15, 2017 Posted March 15, 2017 If you like good Dolcetto, this is one - still quite a bit of grip, but certainly drinkable.....

sengjc Posted March 16, 2017 Posted March 16, 2017 Continuing the Arturo Fuente trend with a well aged Arturo Fuente Anejo No. 50.Having some 2001 Highbank Coonawarra Reserve Cabernets with this.Assuredly, Arturo Fuente does deserve its reputation of being an internationally acclaimed premier cigar producer. 2
