StingMeadery
Went for a mate's party this afternoon. Started with some wine: Finished with some whisky: Mortlach and Clynelish "my man" ️ Now to get you into some single cask, cask strength bottlings... Try single cask cask strength Glendronach and a Glengoyne ...if you can find them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
StingMeadery
Here's a fantastic resource for tasting notes and ratings of exclusive single malts. http://www.whiskyfun.com/ If you buy ratings of 88 and over you will be very happy. Try and find a high 90's to try..."Single Malt Unicorns". Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

StingMeadery
Have those and am hoarding them for now - lol. They look so pretty unopened. Lots of Glengoyne cask strength out there...check your stash as you may not have an actual single cask/cask strength expression, as they are uber rare...I have only three. If you find one snap it up. Join the SMWS my man if you're keen for cask strength, un chill filtered, single barrel expressions. I've only been a member for a year and had access to plenty of cool stuff. Cadenheads too.... Some great mortlachs with them.

Yeah nah the whole SWMS membership thing doesn't quite float my boat as I mainly collect specialist bottlings I'm after or closed distilleries to actually drink... This does though...just bidding on it at auction. Rates 94 - Single Malt Unicorn ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LeafLover
First bender in 2016 truthfully. I drank a couple fingers of all the scotch. My brother and son could not get past the coryveckan, so they just sipped on the Hibiki 12.

JohnS
It was World Gin Day on Saturday 11th of June, so I decided to try something new, a Last Word Cocktail. It's made with equal parts Gin, Green Chartreuse, Maraschino Liqueur and Lime Juice. I found the recipe on-line, with Hendricks's Gin to soften the drink, alas, let me reassure you, this is one hell of a cocktail! I also had a 'tried-and-trusted' signature cocktail this weekend, the Sazerac Cocktail (made by coating a glass with absinthe, adding sugar syrup and Peychaud's bitters and a squeeze of a lemon peel over 2 ounces of added cognac or rye). Whether it's cognac or rye, this never seems to disappoint in any way, I just love them. Sometimes the simplest drinks are the best, aren't they?
