ralphie48 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Ralphie, did you have Old Rip Van Winkle 10 or Pappy? I found PVW 15 to be a truly excellent whiskey. ORVW10 is very good, but not the same quality. I don't like PVW 20 or 23- too dry, too oaky. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk no and i regret not doing so, there was such a line and so much pressure to keep it moving that i didnt try them, and looking back at it i wish i had, everyone was there to try to the 23, that is my one regret and i was just thinking i should have went back to the booth after vip hour and tried the others
TM-US Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Currently sipping Abraham Bowman double barrel bourbon while waiting for a car battery to charge. Paired with a Tatuaje Bon Chasseur, Corona Gorda in normal speak. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
sengjc Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Seng, try the Aberlour 12 non chill filtered... That's the one I think
Guest rob Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 That's the one I think I haven't been able to source the 12yo non-chill filtered here. I had to get my mine from online order overseas. If it is the NCF, do you mind letting me know where you got it. Cheers mate,

Guest rob Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Ale today: I've been enjoying the Fullers London Pride - great Springtime bev.
dangolf18 Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Finally a decent bourbon after of slew of bad ones...really like this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
brschoppe Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Another ale tonight. I miss Fuller's Old Winter Ale in the states. Used to live near Chiswick and love that stuff.
TM-US Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Lost Spirits Ouroboros. Excellent American single malt. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk

KJND Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Drinking the Parkers Heritage 9th Edition Malt Whiskey. And a few Abraham Bowman Bourbons. (High Rye & Coffee finished) How's the Parker's? Looks like you had a good night!
Popular Post fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Popular Post Posted October 2, 2015 Some Glendronach 1989 Single cask 23 year and the 2015 committee release of Ardbeg Supernova. 5
fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 How's the Parker's? Looks like you had a good night! . Yeah. It was a good night. I thought the Parkers was great, but its certainly not bourbon or scotch more like if you made a malty tasting Bourbon.its very different but am glad I'm well stocked on it. 1
sengjc Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Some Glendronach 1989 Single cask 23 year and the 2015 committee release of Ardbeg Supernova. How were they?
Guest rob Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Some Glendronach 1989 Single cask 23 year and the 2015 committee release of Ardbeg Supernova. Great to see whisky being consumed, and not put away to gather dust and forgotten about in a collection.
Scrubber Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Great to see whisky being consumed, and not put away to gather dust and forgotten about in a collection. X2 Love when people open up and enjoy their Whisky and/or cigars rather than having them sitting around and just thinking how good they are. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 How were they? I thought the Glendronach was outstanding, I also had a 1995 19 year that was good but not on par with this gem. The ardbeg was good and better then the 2014, but I've had better Ardbeg and certainly better peat bombs for the money ice. Lagavulin 12 cask strength for $90. US.
fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Great to see whisky being consumed, and not put away to gather dust and forgotten about in a collection.. Thanks Rob. I have not been on in a while but I was fairly active until a few months ago. I do open a lot of stuff. There is no better way to try stuff out and know if you like it and more importantly if you should buy more.
fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 X2 Love when people open up and enjoy their Whisky and/or cigars rather than having them sitting around and just thinking how good they are. That seem like such a waste to me. I have some bottles that are for special occasions and may not be opened for a while but nothing is"too good" to open. If that was the case you should not have bought it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
fokker4me Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Lost Spirits Ouroboros. Excellent American single malt. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk That is really good American whiskey. Lost Spirits does great things!
sengjc Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 Ashton VSG Sorcerer with a dollop of Benriach 16 Year Old Sauternes Wood Finish. The salted caramel, cocoa and wood shavings from the cigar pair well with the sweet, winey malt. Neither tries to overpower the other but both are exquisitely balanced together. 2
