shlomo Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Has anybody had any of the Kirkland Glenlivet 40? Any good? Anybody know the price in your local warehouse?
dangolf18 Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Never had it but it's $399.99 at my local Costco. Haven't seen any reviews on it so not rushing to buy a bottle.
Lotusguy Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Has anybody had any of the Kirkland Glenlivet 40? Any good? Anybody know the price in your local warehouse? It's Alexander Murray - so it's chill-filtered and colored plus not cask strength. PASS

I mean honestly if you're ever in Norcal or Socal, just hit up K&L wines and buy some of their signatory and hepburn choice selections. More bang for your buck if you ask me...natural color ALWAYS and cask strength. Then again, the 40 yo Glenlivet might be awesome and the deal of the century. Too bad there are no trustworthy reviews out there. 1
TM-US Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Who's Alexander Murray? Is he an independant bottler?Yes, an independent. Literally every scotch I've tried from them has been horribly bland. Not horrible, but not worth buying. I gifted a bunch to someone who I knew would appreciate the gesture, and not take it as an insult.Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk 2
TM-US Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 E.H. Taylor barrel proof 129.0 today. It's hot, but very tasty, reminds me a lot of George T. Stagg. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk 1
sastrooper Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Blair Athol 25 yo (59.5%, La Maison du Whisky). I got this as a sampler, it had beautiful floral notes and slight fruity notes. A wonderful drink! 2015-06-18 19.34.58.jpg i got the exact same sampler! haha they must give it to all the customers 1

KJND Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 After a lot of different Belgian triples... AImageUploadedByTapatalk1436686789.809184.jpg I apologize if someone else already asked this Claus, but is the Faultline blended any good?
FalseCast Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 It's HOT here today. I think I need a fresh bottle of Bombay Sapphire. Though I think I may spend some extra and pick up a bottle of The Botanist that I've seen posted on here.
Lotusguy Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Don't know but quoting no longer works on this PC... The question was if the Faultline Blended was any good. I do like it - for the price it beats most other blends. I like it as much as the JW green which costs double. Beats JW Gold and Platinum for me, as those aren't smoky enough for my taste. Worth picking up a bottle to try. 1

Jeremy Festa Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 My favourite beer! Worth noting I had a wee dram of that non age statement Hakushu distiller's edition, pre-dinner. The screw cap annoyed me. Didn't know about that ****. But the whisky itself was better than expected! Sent from my iPhone 1
sengjc Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Yamazaki 12 Year Old with a Dominican stogie. ...Worth noting I had a wee dram of that non age statement Hakushu distiller's edition, pre-dinner. The screw cap annoyed me. Didn't know about that ****. But the whisky itself was better than expected... Hehe...yes, I remember peeling off the capsule of my first bottle of Suntory whisky many years back and thinking: WTF... It was a bottle of the Yamazaki 12 Year Old. 1
sengjc Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Rock Hill Farms bourbon and Padron Palmas Maduro. Bourbon and Nicaraguan seem to go well together. 2
Popular Post JohnS Posted July 20, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 20, 2015 My wife asked for a cocktail so I prepared a B52...one shot of Kahlua, one shot of Baileys and one shot of Grand Marnier. It requires a little patience and work to layer the drink correctly, a pourer and barspoon is required to prevent the layers mixing. 5
sengjc Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Antiquary 21 Year Old and a lovely, well aged Nicaraguan. 1

dangolf18 Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Casamigos Reposaso. Sadly it's very average. Way overpriced. Tastes like a $20 bottle.
