Popular Post Destino30 Posted July 7, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 7, 2015 Greetings, everyone. Just found this thread so I'll chime in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
sengjc Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 I demand a review of each please! 24.127 Nose: Sweet citrus, rather muted. Taste: More citrus, rock sugar, malty, a little nutty with a vein of bitterness, not as bright as I had hoped. Finish: Slightly rough edged on the finish, sweet but mild. Not bad but I was really hoping for more, being a cask strength Macallan and all. 120.7 Nose: UHU glue, varnish, intense floral sweetness. Taste:: Explosive and youthful. A melange of dark fruit - raisins, dates, blackcurrants. Dark chocolate. Very vibrant. Finish: Very long and intense. Sweet and winey, rose cordial. Ribena. Reminds of those blackcurrant gumdrops. Some heat from the alcohol but it's warming and gentle. 116.20 Nose: Bonito flakes, cured meat, a lot going on in this one. Taste: Mellow and complex - sweet, salty and smoky all at once. Smoked meat, coffeeish, light soy sauce, roast beef gravy with butter mixed in then sweet wood. Rich and satisfying. Finish: Long, very long and smooth. Salty tang and meaty. A very unique sensory experience. I like this one the most.
Popular Post Mr.T Posted July 9, 2015 Popular Post Posted July 9, 2015 Thoroughly enjoyed the ***** from the Barrel. First time tasting it. Very good and went really well with the Bolivar EL 2014 which was a pepper bomb. The fruity character of the drink helped offset the pepper in the smoke. Will purchase ***** again Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 5
Destino30 Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 I've been gravitating away from Highlands towards the Islay single malts and found this one to be a terrific transition. Not too much smoke and peat. Paired well with the Siglo III. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 4

Surucipe Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Balblair 2002 - Pleasantly surprised by this one. Wonderfully light footed and still complex, perfect for summer.
ShortFatHokie Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Yesterday, I finished off a bottle of Zaya and ended the day enjoying a glass of Bevlamo Moscato D'Asti with my wife...that's just about the only wine she will drink but boy, does she like it. Today, I enjoyed a couple of glasses of 2010 Nipozzano Riserva Chianti Rufina with a nice portion of baked ziti for lunch.
Colt45 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Poderi Cellario Barbera Frizzante - the light fizz makes a great barbera just a touch more so....
