JohnS Posted February 19, 2015 Posted February 19, 2015 Wow...67.4%! And I thought my Wild Turkey Rare Breed at 54.8% proof was strong. I've got to try some of this at some point. And all the other batches are around the same strength except Batch 6 which is 70.1% proof! 2
bresdogsr Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Maurice River Bourbon Brown Ale from the local, Glasstown Brewery.
fokker4me Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Hirsch 20 year Canadian Whiskey distilled at the Glenora Distillery in Nova Scotia. 1
TM-US Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Port Charlotte Sunday, Roca Patròn silver yesterday. The Roca Patròn is way better than the regular Patròn. Very fruity, nose of raspberries and lots of berry fruit on the palate. 1
Surucipe Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Glendronach 15 Revival - Great whisky, amazing nose. 4
Balboa Posted February 26, 2015 Posted February 26, 2015 Canadian Club Chairman Select 100% Rye. Finally available in Quebec. Excellent whisky pairs well with the PSP2 from '05.
TM-US Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 Springbank 12 Calvados finish, Lost Spirits Polynesian rum, Lost Spirits Cuban style rum, Corti Brothers whiskey.
Lotusguy Posted February 27, 2015 Posted February 27, 2015 I found the Cuban inspired rum undrinkable - how did you fare? Way too much alcohol burn for me.
TM-US Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I found the Cuban inspired rum undrinkable - how did you fare? Way too much alcohol burn for me.I could drink it, but not a sipping rum. It definitely had a flavor profile that reminded me of Havana Club 7. However, at 151, it's just too hot, burns my tongue. I watered mine down, which made it just fine.I liked the Polynesian rum, reminded me of buttered toffee. However, the Navy style rum is definitely my favorite.
Mr.T Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 I'm been enjoying this... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Colt45 Posted February 28, 2015 Posted February 28, 2015 Cerulli Spinozzi Torre Migliori Montepulciano d'Abruzzo - Wonderful......
JohnS Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 I sampled some Starward Single Malt whisky this afternoon. I must say I was disappointed. Then again, I could always take consolation in the thought that it's not Sullivan's Cove Double Cask Tasmanian whisky, which I managed to get prior to been sold out!

Don't like this Melburnian offering? What didn't you like about it?

JohnS Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 Don't like this Melburnian offering? What didn't you like about it? It just tasted a little bland to me. I guess I expected more.
sengjc Posted March 5, 2015 Posted March 5, 2015 It just tasted a little bland to me. I guess I expected more. Fair enough... what was the batch code etched on the number? Just so I know what to avoid if ever I fancy a bottle of this is all.

I hope this is correct because I had to ring a friend to get the number: CR3-LBHI Apologies mate if incorrect as I sampled the bottle from a friend.
